I have Candy - to celebrate my first DT post

Hello everyone and welcome to the candy to celebrate my first DesignTeam post with the Rusty Pickles DT. Now I have only put up the picture of one of the elements of this prize but will add things later as I get them sorted but I wanted to give you guys the maximum time to join in the candy before I draw it on the 1st December 09 (hopefully).

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Good morning happy crafters everywhere - I hope. Friday for me is a day at home with my little dragon (3). She is colouring and I am doing this post!!! It does mean a lot of interuptions however!!!
I wanted to try and use the sketch at Sketch Saturday shown below.

So I needed a large image and as luck would have it I had already stamped and coloured my new purchase from Sue who was clearing out for some new stamps I expect. Anyway I used the Penny Black stamp, Holly Jolly although mine is wood mounted and separate.

I coloured it using my watercolour crayons and glittered the baubles - that was the fun bit!!! I mounted the image onto silver miri card. The DP is from DCWV and the blue and green pieces are from Core'dinations Super Assortments - Elements, duly distressed!! The cord is from Dovecraft and called Sticky crochet - I won it in a candy some time ago now. The snowflakes are from two punches by Xcut and Crafts Too. I have used glitter card and the miricard for contrast. The sentiment is my own using a free font called Santas Big Secret, and fits in nicely with the challenge at Allsorts this week - Christmas carol or song title.

Rusty Pickle Sneaky Peaks Time

Yes folks its here and I have got some gorgeous images to show you today on the last day of our New Release. I was, to say the least, stunned to be asked to be a DT member for this new venture. The fabulous digi stamps have been designed by the very talented Michelle and the best place to see these images I hear you say - The Rusty Pickles Digital Delights Shop of course. There are plenty there some of which I have already used. I just love digi stamps because you can flip them and resize them - ideal. You can also use them on many different mediums - candles, shrink plastic to name a few. The releases have been on Monday Tuesday and today so if you have missed anything scroll down for the names of my other team members and have a look - not forgetting to comment!!!!

I am showing off two of the images from the new Baby Release, firstly I would like to show you the Teddy. If you check out the site you will see I have flipped him to lean against the number one. Here is a close up for more detail.

He is coloured using water colour pencils and the 1 and the sentiment were painted using H2O's and glitter.

My next sneaky peak is the Rattle and again I have resized this one as you can see!

Have you noticed I like glitter too. The ribbon was a freebie and I have used it all up!!! The DP is from Funky Fairy's and the frame is a Chris Warner special. Here I printed the image on to blue card then highlighted areas and glittered the band. The sentiment is from Funky Hand.

My next card was not really an after thought but more showing how you can mix the images on one card.

Winter Wonderland in Red!

Another horrible wet windy day in South Devon!! Never mind I managed to get another Christmas Card done using the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday shown below.

OK so I have tweeked it a bit but the main look is there. The image is from Penny Black and is on the Christmas Critters set. I have coloured the image with water colour pencils and done the fur and snow with crystal glitter.

The image is mounted on red miri card and the paper is from my Artilicious CD Rom - Season's Greetings. The vellum is silver and has Christmas greetings on it - it is from my stash and has been torn down each side. The ric rac glittery ribbon is from Papermania as is the little bow.

"He's not heavy he's my Brother!"

Hi everyone on a very wet and windy Sunday, hope all is OK with you in blogland. Now as my regulars will know I have been given the honour of being a member of The Rusty Pickles Digital Delights Design Team. My fellow team mates - all listed under the Rusty Pickles blinkie - are a fab and talented bunch, so I am very proud to be there with them at the start of this new venture. Gosh that was a bit of rambling to get round to telling you that the image I have used today is a Rusty Pickles corker.
I have used the sketch at The Pink Elephant which is shown below.

I love these shapes and it gives me the opportunity to use the template from the Polka Doodles CD Rom - Sugar Birdies. I have cut out a circle in green glitter card and then punched a smaller scallop in the Simply Brushed paper. I then mounted the image using foam pads on to this paper.

                                  

I have coloured the image in using my watercolour crayons - I know they are not the usual colours but I was experimenting!! Finally I used some ribbon across the middle from my stash.

Winter Warmer

                                     
Good Morning everyone in craft land, hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. I have a great card today - well I think so and hope you do too. I recently purchased some Penny Black stamps from Sue and inked them up straight away. When I saw the challenge at My Time To Craft I immediately thought of one of these images - "Under my umbrella" - it is gorgeous. I have used the sketch at Sketch Saturday shown below.

I have used a red base card and then put a layer of kraft card on top. I have stamped snowflakes on the card using white ink and some snowflakes from an Elusive Images set called Snow is Falling.

                                      

I have coloured the image using water colour crayons and then glittered the snow on the umbrella. I have mounted the image on to Whitewash Core'dinations card and distressed it by sanding and scissors.

I then added the fibres at the top which I bought so long ago that I have forgotten where from but I am so glad I am now putting them to good use. I stuck a snowflake on top punched out of glitter card as are the others. I was a bit unsure about the colour scheme at first but I think it works really well now.

Christmas Scene

Hello everyone on another wet and very windy day. I wanted to do the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar

where they want you to "Create a Scene".

                                      

I used one of the scenes from my Crafters Companion Cute Companions A Winters Tale CD Rom, it is a decoupage scene which I then glittered. The main image is a very cute one from Penny Black called Caroling Trio.

                                   

I have coloured the mice in with watercolour pencils and added a bit of glitter to the glove then attached it using foam pads. The sentiment was from a Clear magic set - I bought it from Handy Hippo but they don't have it anymore - sorry. I stamped it onto some waste blue card and then put some of Anitas sticky ribbon underneath. I am therfore going to enter this card in the Penny Black Saturday  Challenge which is Christmas card for a guy and also in the Paper Cutz Challenge which is use a digi or normal stamp and use any colour.

Rusty Pickle DT Card

Hi everyone in blog land. Here is the first card I have made using one of the fantastic images from Rusty Pickles Digital Delights. As you know I have been given the honour of joining the design team for this new venture so I just had to get creative. I have tried something totally new with this card - I have used faux polar white flower soft. I am sorry I can't remember where I saw this but I thought it was a great idea and gave it a go. You use polystyrene - you know the stuff that fills up boxes to make sure nothing breaks - flaked it up using my scissors - warning it goes everywhere!! - and then glued it to my picture. What do you think?

The rest of Lazy day snowman has been crystal glittered and coloured with water colour pencils. I layered him on some paper from the Jingle Jangles CD Rom from Polka Doodles. Then layered again onto blue miri card. The other background sheet is from one of my most neglected CD roms - Seasons Greetings by Artylicious. What I hear you say how could I not use it, I know I am ashamed to admit it because I absolutely love the papers. Anyway I have got round to it eventually!!!

The ribbon across the middle is from Papermania and I have used two triangles of my favourite cardstock - Core'dinations So Mod -duly distressed.
