Yes, you did read it right - it is the last challene at Die Cut Dreams - sad to say. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the team - such a fantastic bunch of ladies and so talented.

Here is my card for some inspiration sorry about the photo though it is red and pink believe me!!!

The papers are from a Debbie Moore CDrom - Shabby Chic. I have punched out flower shapes and layered them up using the same papers. Tilda is coloured with pink waterclour crayons and has a glittery pink belt. I have distressed the edges of the papers with Walnut Stain distress ink. The hearts were cut using a couple of X-Cut dies.

Hi everyone it's Thursday and this is my second post of the day - if blogger is working properly as I am at work!! I have used the gorgeous image called Inspire digital stamp

and I was inspired by a magazine called Scrap 365 - one of the articles had the buttons etc on a canvas but I decided to make a card..........

and here is a closeup......

The image has been coloured with Sakura Stardust pens and water. I have done the paint under the buttons using Inktense watercolour crayons and plenty of water and a bit of puff!!! The ribbon at the bottom is American seam binding which has been coloured in the same way as has the butterfly border. I hope it has brightened your day up a bit.

to show the depth. I have used Craftartist to get the design sorted but then printed the letters out twice to do the decoupage. They are from a Crafters Companion CD rom (sorry can't remember which one). I have coloured the mice with watercolour crayons and shaped them. Easy peasy really.

Now the pictures aren't perfect as I am still playing with my new camera which is not a straightforward point and shoot one!!! I have coloured the image with watercolour crayons to blend in with the DP......which is the Welcome Home Collection from Bo Bunny. I have also used some lace and a couple of Spellbinders Shapeabilities Bird Flourishes cut from the Bo Bunny coordinating paper and distressed. The corners are made from acetate - a candy win from Brenda - thanks hun.

Hi everyone, welcome to another challenge at The Stamping Boutique Challenge which is all about Due Cuts!! Easy peasy then just get out all your die cuts and have fun.

I am using one of my favourites again - the image called Owl.............

so cute and here is my card.....

I must apologise for the photos, my regular readers will kow my camera has gone wrong so a new one is on its way - just in time for my Birthday.

Here is a closeup of the tag.............

He has been coloured with my ever present Promarkers. I am so pleased with these Fancy tags two die cuts from Spellbinders, I love the ornate look. I have used my Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the tag, before I took the die cut off and then threaded some pink ribbon through the holes. I have also used the distress ink around the edges of my DP which is from First Editions and is called Sweet Owl. Apart from the tag the rest of my pieces have been cut using the Spellbinders die Labels 8.

ANYTHING SENTIMENT BUT YOU MUST USE YOUR SCRAPS

and here is my card using one of their images......

I basically copied the image three times and then decoupaged it up. I have coloured it using my Sakura Stardust gel pens and if you click on the image you may get a better view BUT my camera is playing up and the eagle eyed amongst you will notice the lines across the picture. It means a new camera so I would be grateful for any recommendations.

The sentiment and dragonflies are from a Kay Carley stamp sheet Flitters and Flutters and the border across the middle was made using an Xcut butterfly punch.

The Challenge Theme.....
White on White
You can layer, use different textures, glitter, ribbon, flowers anything you like
But it must ALL be WHITE
so no colouring what so ever (that means no skin colour and no hair colour either and no green leaves on the flowers)
If you use anything other than WHITE I'm afraid you won't be entered for a chance to win the prize and your entry may be removed by our Entry Manager.

Hope you have understood because our entry manager is very strict.

Here is my card for some inspiration.......

It has been a challenge for me and most of the DT to get this right - please check out their blogs for some more stunning inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.

So as you can see white and glitter feature highly. I have also used a layer of white lace material I bought ages ago. The flower was made by just cutting out three different sized circles from Centura pearl snow white card, distressing the edges and glittering them. I have used a white pearl brad as the centre piece. The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp called Titania with no colour, just glitter. I have done a faux stitch around the edge of the card I stamper her on in glitter. I have used a Mariannes design die cut for the swirls and the tags are computer generated and have lots of - yes you guessed it - glitter!!!

Hi everyone, welcome to the final challenge for 2011 at The Stamping Boutique Challenge which is a fun one for you. Check out this fantastic cake - yes, I did say cake! What does it inspire you to make?

Well, I decided to use the image called Penguin baking ornament.......

rather appropriate I thought!!!!!

I decided to use the colours as well red, green and gold. I have coloured the bauble in with Promarkers and added some glitter. The red paper is vellum with a print from the Artilicious Cdrom - Season's Greetings wrapped with red and gold ribbon. The corners are from die cut from gold glitter card using the Spellbinders die - Fleur de Lis Accents.

Silly me, I was trying to do a card for the challenge at Totally Tilda but I didn't have a Magnolia image that would work with just colouring the face!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never mind I still like how my card turned out!!

A bit of torn pearlescent card, glitter, a pearl and Mariannes and Spellbinders dies and some interesting paper I had that looks like snow!!!! Oh and not forgetting the image which has been watercoloured.

Nothing else to report other than my feet are killing me as I have to stand a lot in my new job!!!

I have used this really cute owl digi.

and here is my card........

I have coloured my owl with Promarkers and added a gem for her flower. The card has been inked over with Stormy sky and Milled lavendar distress inks. I then stamped a tree stamp from a Pilkington wood set in the same inks. The ribbon is from a christmas decorations section of a store. The flowers were from a candy I won some time ago with brads from my stash. The sentiment is from a Buzzcraft stamp set called Paws for a Moment.

I have chosen to use

Snowman Snowglobe

I have coloured Mr Snowman with Promarkers and glittered the snow. The papers are from the Season's Greetings CD Rom from Artylicious. The backing card is a great blue glitter card. The swirly piece of card was done using a My Paper World stamp set called Letters and embellishments in blue ink. My sentiment was from a Cuttlebug embossing folder using pearl card and coloured with the TH distress ink Tumbled glass - I have used this around the edges of the paper too. I have done a faux stitch affect around the papers too using a blue Whispers marker.

The Sugar Bowl - Gayle's Sketch

It isn't often that I manage to get around to a card for me but I had to have another go at The Sugar Bowl challenge this week. I have used the great sketch that Gayle has provided with a few extras!!!!

I have used the really cute Snowcouple called Christmas Garland - coloured with water colour crayons and added glitter. The papers are from a couple of First Edition paper packs called "Christmas Joy" and "Festive Treats".

I have also used some gems which are normally for table decoration! The punch is from Fiskars ( I think!) and it has punched through glitter card really well. Then I topped it with some ribbon from Crafty Ribbons another puschase from the NEC.

Here is my card to help inspire you - I hope.....

I have used shaped white card blanks purchsed at the NEC earlier this month - brilliant day I had with my bestest crafting buddy Dawn AKA Craftykitten and fellow DT member. I have around all the edges with TH Distress Ink Walnut Stain - fast becoming my favourite I must add. The papers for the flower came from a Polka Doodles CDrom called All Around and everywherre. The butterfly is from another Polka Doodles CD called Sundae of Seasons .....here is a closeup

as you can see I have added some gorgeous pink glitter and at the centr of the flower a pink button with red bakers twine. the background has been stamped in brown and pink using a set of stamps I bought at the NEC again!!!

Here is my creation using The Fairy Serenity

and here is a closeup.........

I have coloured the fairy with Promarkers and a little sprinkling of glitter!!! The paper is from K&Company but not sure of the name of the pad. The card I have embossed with the large polka dots and cut a border with my recently purchased Martha Stewart punch was from Create and Craft. The tag was made using a Marianne die cut inked with distress inks, sprayed with glimmer mist and stamped with an Inkadinkado sentiment stamp. The ribbon is recycled from the ribbon you get on some tops you buy to keep the tops on the hangars!

Hi everyone, and yes last week my card was picked in the top three at Raise the Bar. As a result I am one of the Guest Bartenders this week along with one of my Stamping Boutique team mates Jennifer.

Hi there everyone. I think this may have to be my last Halloween card this year. I still haven't managed to get all the images I stamped coloured and made into cards - all the more for next year!!!

I have just managed to get this card finished although the original idea was nothing like the finished result!!!

I have used a combination of stamps - obviously a Magnolia one - Tilda with Spiderweb coloured with watercolours. The border was an Inkadinkadoo stamp called All Hallows Eve then the ribbon was stamped with a sentiment from a Penny Black set Spooky and the bat and spiders on the ribbon are from a set called Pumpkin and Aubergine at Halloween. Finally the sentiment along the bottom right is from a House Mouse set called House Mouse Halloween. The paper was made using Craft Artist some time ago so I can't remember where the image came from.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #40 A Funny Card

Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge at Aud Sentiments. We had a wonderful turn out for our Winter theme last fortnight so don't forget to check out the blog to see who won and the top 3.

................now as you may or may not know they have a fantastic line of very humorous images so with that in mind our challenge this time is..............

A Funny Card (obviously including a sentiment).

Here is mine...............

I actually have it in mind for my Aunty and Uncle - they are wonderful together and my Aunty particularly has the perfect sense of humour for this card.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I have mounted it on some papers from the Polka Doodles CDRom - Double Sprinkle Of Kraft. I have used some Kraft paper and the Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots for the other background. All papers are edged with Walnut Stain distress ink. The heart shape is an X-cut die - Scalloped Heart which I have made into a tag. I have used American Seam binding for the ribbon and bow and fibres to hang the tag.

The Stamping Boutique Challenge #18 Spooky Halloween

Hi everyone, gosh two posts in two days what is wrong with me......must be the school holidays!!!! Although I am not part of the Challenge Design team at The Stamping Boutique I love Halloween so thought I would join in with some more inspiration. I have used Cynthia Fairy's Halloween Social digi .......................

............which is currently on special offer as are all the Halloween digis at the moment - until 31st October 2011.

So as you can see I have made an easel card. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added glitter to her wings and the spiders web. The toadstool has some white gel on it . I have also done some faux stitching around all the papers in both black and white pen...........I felt like doodling!!!!! I also used the fabulous papers from Bearly Mine Design and also here. The black curly bits at the bottom are from a Spellbinder shapeability called Fanciful Holiday and the spider and bats are from a Cuttlebug folder called Halloween.

Hi everyone and welcome to another fabulous challenge at Die Cut Dreams. Firstly, thank you to everyone who joined in with our Poem challenge last fortnight. I am sorry if I didn't get round to commenting on them all but I have just got back from a weekend away in Cornwall - and it looks like my timing was perfect as there are several severe weather warnings there and also in Devon - where I live!!!

Here is my creation.................

I have used one of the images from Sugar Nellie called Titania and here is a closeup

I have used Aquamarkers to colour her and added plenty of bling everywhere. I have used some paper from Summer Driggs called Winter Wonderland and then used the Cuttlebug embossing folder - Snowflakes. The sentiment is from Docrafts called Penelope and Percy Christmas Greetings. Everything else is from my stash - I think the silver ricrac was a feebie on a magazine a couple of years ago!!!

Aud Sentiments Challenge #39 Winter Card

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. As you are reading this I am just finishing my first week in a new job. It was not my choice as my previous place of work is due for closure and the same type of job was not available in travelling distance. Having said that it would appear that I have landed on my feet - I have been job shadowing and have thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Here is my card........

I have used the Little Festive Robins which have been coloured with watercolours. The papers are from the Polka Doodles CDrom Magical Winter, they have been distressed and inked. The ribbon is from my stash - green with a thinner gold sparkly ribbon on top. I have used the Hero Arts Dotty Flowers to make my flower - I stamped on to old book paper and used TH distress inks and used a brad for the centre.

The poem and snowman are from an Aspects of Design stamp sheet called Snowy Christmas. The snow flakes are from the Spellbinder Shapeability Create A Flake 1. I have used TH distress ink Tumbled glass to edge everything. The background paper is from a Summer Driggs kit called Winter Wonderland - just love her stuff. I have also glittered the snowflakes and the edges of the poem and image - doesn't show up too well though. I have also used a new tool which puts handy little holes regularly around the edges - or wherever I want - a bit like a perforator!!!! It is by EK Success but I can't find it anywhere!

Hi everyone, I think I am on a bit of a roll as far as creating goes at the moment - mind you it does help that I had last week off!!! I have just managed to finish another fantastic image from The Stamping Boutique and she is called Princess Jannifer Latte Breast Cancer Awareness and here she is.........

Princess Jennifer latte has been coloured with Promarkers and then I have added pink and clear glitter everywhere possible!!! I have used the Spellbinders Label 17 and the paper is from a Polka Doodles CD Rom (to be found later!). I have layered pink organza and satin ribbon together for a thicker bow. The little butterfly is from an Aspects of Design sheet by Kay Carley called Flitters and Flutters - I have embossed it with silver embossing powder and coloured it with Sakura Strardust gel pens. Finally, the sentiment is from a Papermania stamp set called Honey and hugs (can't find a link anywhere sorry).

I have used Promarkers to colour the image and used some lovely glitter to make it even yummier. The ribbon is actually American Seam binding with a touch of distress ink. Hi everyone, hope all is well in blogland. I am really loving this little faerie from The Emerald Faerie Garden - Isabella. I have coloured her with Promarkers and used an Xcut Circle nesting die to cut her out. I inked around the edge with distress ink. The sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp which incidently is being sponsored by Tracey at The Stamping Boutique - my new DT. The sketch is here..............

I have used papers from the First Edition pack called Sweet Owl - the triangles and pink polka dots. I have matted the polka dot paper onto Kraft card and the bottom tag is also made from kraft. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley a set called Inspirational Sentiments.

The flowers were from my stash with a jewel brad from Papermania. The leaves were from a punch - can't find a link to it sorry, and the swirls are from a Mariannes Design Creatables - Frame and swirls - cut out of pink glitter card. I have also glittered the faeries and butterflies wings.

The Stamping Boutique Fairy Princess Laundry Line.

Hi everyone, it is Monday and I have another creation for you from The Stamping Boutique. I am using the image called Fairy Princess Laundry Line shown below which is only $2.95.

and here is my card which should be featuring on The Stamping Boutique Challenge blog some time today. Oh and by the way if you check the blog out today there is a lovely freebie too.

As you should already know one of the fairies at TSB is called Cynthia - that should explain the sentiment.

I have used some foiled card from a Kanban kit I bought recently. Then I used a swirl stamp from an Aspects of Design stamp sheet called Fancy Flourishes - embossed in gold sparkle embossing powder. I have coloured the image with Sakura Stardust gel pens and water. The DP is from Spring Feast by First Edition and was cut out using a Spellbinder die - Fleur de lis Rectangles. I then drew round the largest die to make the base matt from yellow glitter card. The sentiment is one I made up myself.!!!

I have used a Marianne Design creatable Bird on branch large cut out of brown and cream card and layered, I have used a distress ink to highlight the veins in the leaves. The ovals have been cut using the Spellbinders Petite ovals large nestabilities. I have inked the edges with TH Distress Inks Tea Dye and Spun Sugar. I have used one of Lynnes sentiments from the Just Birthdays set. The friends sentiment is from an Inkadinkadoo set called Flower Sentiments. The flowers were from a candy some time ago and teamed up with some pearl brads. Finally the papers are from a First Edition pack called Sweet Owl distressed and inked accordingly!!!

Less Is More Christmas Tree

Hi everyone, just a quick post before I go to get the children from school.

I wanted to enter the challenge at Less Is More this week because they are trying to get 1000 entries. My card is pretty simple, I have used an embossing folder from Papermania on pearlised card. I have chalked the image with pearlised chalk and then added details with glitter glue, gems and pearls.

A nice quick Christmas card.

Christmas Garland

I haven't managed to do this for a while - a post during the week whilst working and I did extra time on Monday!!!!

I just had to buy some of the new Sugar Nellie stamps after taking part in their blog hop recently. I have managed to use Christmas Garland here. I have coloured it with Promarkers and added some glittery stuff to the hat - it is not ordinary glitter and the pot doesn't have a label on it. The shape is from and X Cut die and the backing is on red miricard. The papers are from the Polka Doodles CDRom - Magical Winter, and trust me you need both of them!!! I have mounted the DP on red card and followed the sketch at The Sugar Bowl below......

The papers were left over from my recent flurry of Christmas cards I made using the CD mentioned above.

Die Cut Dreams Challenge #98 Flower Power

Happy Monday everyone and here's hoping Mr Blogger has posted for me as I am working a few extra hours at the moment before I move to my new job (not my choice I hasten to add - redeployment).

Thank you so much to everyone who played along with our Make a gift bag or box challenge. It never ceases to amaze me how creative you all are.

This is a card I made for a colleague of mine recently - I think the age is obvious!!!

I have used the Flower Fairy Rose and papers from the CD Rom Rose and Lavender. I used watercolour crayons and a bit of glitter on the wings. The numbers are Crafters Companion too - have had them fo ryears and finally using them! Here is a closeup...............

The embossed background is a cuttlebug folder - script texture and was done on pearlised card. I have distressed the papers using the Tim Holtz distresser and then inked the edges. I have used the Marianne Creatable Swirl leaf on white glitter card. I have used flowers (well glittered) and lace from my stash and here is another closeup..............

Emerald Faerie - Isabella

I can't believe I have only just found these gorgeous images from The Emerald Faerie Garden, they are so cute. I have used the Isabella(digi) stamp, and here is a closer look..........

I have tried something I have seen on other cards - the shine down the front of her tights. I have used a Spellbinders die and then I went round the outside of the die for the layer underneath which is whitewash Core'dinations. Sje has been coloured with Promarkers and then the wings are glittered. The border is an EK Success punch out of pink glitter card. The swirl is a Marianne die. I made the flower using three different sized circles out of the same DP and whitewash card. I dietressed the edges and shaped them and just free handed the leaves - with added glitter for the veins. The DP is a First Editions pack called Spring Feast. Finally the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley - a sentiment set called Dreamy Days. Oh and how could I forget the button at the centre of my flower - from the Papermania Capsule collection.

Magical Winter cards.

I always love to use Polka Doodles CDRoms and when I received the last two I actually made four cards pretty quickly. I used the

set which you can find here or if you are feeling lucky you could enter the candy that my Aud Sentiments teamy and boss is running at the moment. Check it out here - you have until 14th September to join in the fun.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #36 For A Girl

Another fortnight has rolled on by and the children go back to school next week - yeah I have survived the Summer Holidays!!!! What a fantastic number of entries for our Anything Goes and DT Call Challenge. Check out the Aud Sentiments Challenge blog to see who won and the DT's top picks.

For the next fortnight we would like sentiments themed around FOR A GIRL.................our sponsor is

and the team had some fantastic images to use. I chose to use Fairy Heart - perfect for my daughters 5th birthday card. I made her rather large as this is an A4 card with the fairy sitting on acetate and the number 5 behind. The number is from a Polka Doodles CDrom - Double Sprinkle of Kraft . I coloured the fairy with Promarkers and then covered her wings with Crafters Companion Iridescent Spray and Sparkle.

Eagle-tastic!!!

OMG a picture with me in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This doesn't happen very often you know so make the most of it. The girls and I were staying at my Mother-In-Laws (yes, she is the best granny ever). We went to Glastonbury Abbey and whilst walking or running (the girls only I must stress) we noticed a stall with lots of birds of prey. On closer inspection you could actually hold the bird of your choice - you had to be 16 or over for the Eagle (I just made it then!!).

The girls chose the Barn Owl - he was gorgeous and the girls were excellent with him. They were so excited before and then really quiet and perfect whilst holding him. Then it was my turn, and I found out why you had to be older for the Eagle - it was sooooooo heavy, especially after he had been sitting on my arm for a while. My heart was beating so hard. He was so majestic and fantastic to look at.

The people doing the stall were from Sharandys Birds of Prey - they were fantastic too.

I have used one of the box templates from Debbi Moores' CD Shabby Chic Vintage Flowers and added a few of her gorgeous butterflies and some pearls. The ribbon was cut from one of my tops - you know those loops of ribbon that are used to keep the thing on a hangar!

Me too!!!! BUT I am currently on a diet so they are banned in the house so I have to make do with the crafty version. This was a freebie stamp from one of the crafting magazines a while ago. Coloured with crayons and with a bit of glitter for the frosting - don't they look yummy!

The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons who currently have a DT call going!!! I have tried to be creative wit hthe ribbon making a flower of sorts - I really like the effect.
