Aud Sentiments Challenge #25 Sentiment/Card for a child

Hi everyone and welcome to the new challenge at Aud Sentiments. This fortnight we would like to see....

SENTIMENT/ CARD FOR A CHILD.

We are being sponsored by Digi Doodles...........

...................and the team were able to choose an image to use.............
I chose Carousel - my kids love going on the carousel at a playpark called Crealy.

Here is my card...........

Sorry about the photo, the sun was going down so I got a few shadows on it!!! Shouldn't complain should I!! I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added glitter. The edge of the card has been distressed and inked with Spun Sugar distress ink and then glittered. I used a corner punch to make it a bit neater.
The letters were from a Crafters Companion CD - Cute Companions. I made them small enough to fit on the sides of the card and then glittered them with spray (not sure you can see this in the photo). Here is a closeup.........................

So I can't wait to see what you come up with. Oh by the way don't forget to check out my team mates creations for some more inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.

Here are the challenges I am entering...........

Creative Card Crew - For a child,

Paper Playtime - Digi monday,

Pile It On - Cutie patootie,

Fun with shapes and more - No designer paper, and,

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Magnolia Birthday Card

Hello everyone, isn't it wonderful that the sun is still shining and everything is blooming. I have a few birthday cards to make one of which is extra special - for my Mum who will be 84 and loves flowers - hopefully this card will fit the bill!
The image was a pressie from my bestest friend Craftykitten - thank you my darling. It is of course a Tilda from the You Are So Special set and is called Congratulation Tilda. Here is a closeup.........

The swirly bits and dots in the image have been glittered with a purple glitter and the rest of the image was coloured with watercolour crayons. The swirls in the background have been stamped using the Best Friend Swirls set from Sheena Douglass - in pink and purple ink. The embossed centura pearl card was done using the Divine Swirls cuttlebug folder. The word paper was from an old book, I covered it with Dusty Concord and Worn Lipstick distress inks and then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Pearl), then I ripped the paper to make it a bit more interesting!

The beautiful pins were a Birthday Present from Dawn AKA CraftyKitten - thank you hun. I have used them behind some flowers I bought at Quixotic Paperie called Icy Blossoms (only they don't have the colour I have used)

I will enter this card in the following challenges:-

My Time to Craft - Ladies Day,

Moving Along With The Times - Precious Metal (silver of the pins),

Just Magnolia - Bingo (Embossing, Flowers and Pins),

Delicious Doodles - Floral Fantasy,

Crafts and Me - Anything Goes,

Crafty Catz - Pearls and Swirls,

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Mother's Day/Girlie,

Paperplay Challenge - Distressing,

Papertake Weekly - It's a Mum's Thing or just be girlie,

Everybody Art - Birthday, and,

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Swirls and Pearls.

I would love to know what you think. Also a big thank you to all my regular commenters. I am finding it hard to get round to commenting on everyone I would like, so I must apologise to you all.

Lasting Memories Challenge #30 A Recipe

Lasting Memories

Another week has past and we are now on to our 30th Challenge at Lasting Memories and this week we have a recipe for you.

1 DIE CUT
2 BRADS
3 LAYERS

Now the regular visitors to my blog will know that I am a digital scrapper so I have a little surprise for you this time because I have done a "proper" page today.

There will be no surprise that it features my two little dragonlettes and I have even managed to find a use for the shells they keep bringing home EVERY time we go to the beach!!!!
The green paper is from a Debbi Moore CD Rom and I have had the butterfly vellum for at least 5 years. The two brads were silver until I set too with a green Promarker! The die cut sandcastle was a freebie from a Scrapbooking magazine I bought some time ago. The lace is from a local haberdashery department and the glittery circles in the corner are from a kids pack of foam shapes! The title was done on my digital scrapbooking programme, printed and then stuck on the layout. So there you have it, although I have done a normal page before I have definately spent more time and effort over this one and I suspect Karen was beginning to wonder if I was going to send her mine for the challenge post!!! - Hope you like it Karen.

Please check out my fellow team mates for some more fabulous inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.

I also have a few challenges to enter:-

Tuesday Throwdown and Creative Craft - both want to see lace,

Saturday Challenge - Anything but a card,

Our Creative Corner - Don't throw that away (the shells),

Creative Belli Challenge - C embellishments (my circles),

Creative Card Crew - Green and,

Papercutz - Anything Goes.

Have a great Sunday everyone, hugs

Good Luck .....Meeeow!!

Hi everyone, and I would just like to say thank you to those of you who gave me your honest opinions on my less is more card - I will definitely try to do some more of this type of card because, believe me it is a challenge!!!!
So back to my more usual style and I just had to ink one of these Lili of the Valley images up quickly - Lucky Cats  is just so cute don't you think. They have just released a gorgeous set of stamps ideal for this time of year and the cooks amongst you!!!!
Here is a closeup......................

I have used my Promarkers to colour the image and it has been mounted onto a die cut from my friend Susie at Die Cut Dreams - the shop is currently closed, due to open again in May.

The paper was a freebie from a magazine recently - distressed and glittered - and the sentiment is from a set of Messy Rabbit stamps. I have glittered around the edge of the sentiment. The ribbon was from Crafty Ribbons - an NEC purchase last November and the gems are from Papermania.

Just a couple of challenges tonight - nearly bedtime!!!!

Lili of the Valley Challenge - Say it with flowers,

Stampin B - Bling,

Allsorts Challenge - Luck, and,

Alphabet Challenge - Stripes.

Goodnight everyone

Less is more - not sure

I have been seeing a lot of the clean and simple style recently and love how good the cards can be but am not entirely happy with my first effort. The stamps are from Crafters Companion three birds set, I put some gems on the sentiment to bring a bit of life to the card.

I am entering this in the following challenges!!
Less is More One layer and stamp off the page (not sure if this satisfies the challenge?),

Paper Sundaes - Keep it simple,

One Stop Craft Challenge - Clean and simple and

Stampavie and more - Birds.

Let me know what you think - constructive criticism is encouraged here.

..... the colours are a bit better than the main picture as I used the "I'm feeling lucky button" in Picasa!!!!
The border was done using an EK Success large edger punch called Garden Flower in purple glitter card. The word was done on my Cuttlebug using a Spellbinders Alphabet set called Childhood. "Lasting Memories" Challenge # 28 You're the Boss

Lasting Memories
So sorry I'm a bit late today, didn't manage to schedule this post last night and only just finished the Sunday morning rituals!!!!!
Anyhow, it's Sunday so that means a new challenge at "Lasting Memories" and that is

YOU'RE THE BOSS

........so that means show us your own scrapping style.

Also we have another fantastic sponsor - Tiffany Doodles - and guess what?

We have THREE prizes to give away this week!

1.FIRST PRIZE = 5 digi's

2.SECOND PRIZE = 3 digi's

3.THIRD PRIZE = 2 digi's

Tiffany let the team choose a digi to add to their layouts - mine was Mushroom in grass.

As you can see I used the image twice and flipped it at the bottom of my page. It has been coloured with Promarkers and added to my digital layout.
As I have said in my journaling I love taking pictures of mushrooms - not sure why? I suppose it is anything in nature because I have loads of birds, insects and other animals in my photo arsenal!!!!

Please check out my team mates for some more fantastic inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.

Hugs to you all
