It's my second Fussy and Fancy Friday GD Easter card.

TCBOTB

So welcome everyone to my second card for the Easter challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. The sponsor this fortnight is The Charm Barn and you can find the charms I used here. There is a fantastic collection of charms available so please check them out - they are all so cute.

This is my card which uses the great sketch at Penny Black Saturday as you can see here.

Of course there is the gorgeous Penny Black stamp - Easter Exchange which has been coloured using watercolour pencils. This has been mounted onto a scalloped circle of core'dinations card duly sanded.

I have added a lovely rose with beautiful blue tinges and I added stickles glitter glue to bling it up a bit. I have attached the charm to the tag using a couple of jump rings. I wrote the sentiment with a Sakura stardust pen.The other charm is attached to the two ribbons threaded through a jump ring, one is pale blue organza on the top and the other is white satin but I used a blue Promarker to match the colour scheme. The flower paper is from a Summer Driggs kit called Beautimous and the other paper is a Funky Fairys one. I have distressed the edges of all the paper - although I think I need to be a bit more ruthless!!!

Anyway I hope you will check out my fellow Fussy and Fancy Friday Team mates and join in the fun.

I shall also enter the following challenges with this card:-

Pile It On - Furry Friends (well they are furry on their tummies!),

Rainbow Ladys Challenge I see in my garden .....some hedgehogs,

Sassy Susie's Challenge - Spring Garden,

Cute Card Thursday - Dimension,

Cuddly Buddly Fairy

Good evening everyone and hope it has been a good day for you. I felt like making a card with my favourite colour - purple and this is what happened!! I have used the Violet Fairy from Cuddly Buddly Crafts.
The sketch is by Melissa from Tuesday Morning Sketches and is shown below.

I thought these images would fit the sketch perfectly. No colouring required too!!!! I have glittered the Bees wings.
and added a lovely pearl brad for the middle of the flower.

Finally, the ribbon was a candy I won some time ago and has a lovely texture and sparkle. The paper was one I nearly threw away because the printer went funny with two darker borders!! The other paper is from Funky Fairies and the card under the ribbon is from Core'dinations.

I shall enter this card in the following challenges:-

Character Cafe - Purple, Blue and Yellow,

Flutterby Wednesday - open theme but with a butterfly, fairy or angel,

Cute Daisy May - Fairies,

The Creative Cottage - Sparkly,

Frosted Design - Spring flower and

Quirky Crafts - Flowers.

Hope to see you soon - another Fussy and Fancy Friday GD card to come!!

Laundry time!!!

Well, I had to do some clothes washing to use up the tabs to get the box to alter!!! My daughter - One of the Dragonlettes needed somewhere to store a RAK she received from Paula at Pollys Card Heaven, recently - thank you hun. She supplied a bit of creative direction and I did all the sticking and cutting!!!

The papers are from Scrapbooking mad click on the picture below to find loads of gorgeous stuff and better

still a lot of the kits are on sale - some have more than 80% off.
I have decoupaged some of the flowers and birds and added some gems for bling.
I made the name plate using my Spellbinders labels 4 on pale green glitter card. This had already been put through my Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder - can anyone spot the deliberate mistake!!
The letters are from a Crafters Companion Cute Companions CD Rom and then stuck on with foam pads. Then I put the name plate on the front so that the box can still open - VOILA!!!!!!

Now for all the lovely challenges I will enter -

Creative Inspirations and Tuesday Morning Sketchers both want Anything but a card,

Daring Cardmakers - Tweetie Pie (birds),

Paper Makeup Stamps - No layers and loads of embellishments,

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Sparkly,

The Creative Cottage - Flowers,

The Pink Elephant, Magical Crafts and Frosted Design - all have Spring themes.

Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday evening and see you all next week. I look forward to your thoughts.

I Love Digi Challenge #3 Easter DT Card

Now this card was to be my first as a Guest Design team member but guess what some of the permanent team have left and Elaine the co-ordinator of I Love Digi Challenge asked the GDT to become permanent - yeh!!!! Before I show you my card I must say that the challenge this fortnight is sponsored by Wink Wink Ink - please check the store out - the images are soooo cute.

So here is my DT card for the Easter challenge over at I Love Digi Challenge. You can make a card, a gift or both.

I decided to do a bright Easter easel card with a kit from Scrapbooking Mad. I have distressed the edges for added interest.

The easter eggs are decoupaged and then I added some heart gems to one of the eggs.

Again on the stand the words are decoupaged and then I have added a bow from a Papermania kit and some buttons from my stash.

Now please check out the I Love Digi Challenge Blog for some more fantastic inspiration from my talented team mates.

Now for the challenges I shall be entering with this card:-

Paper Cutz and Saturday Challenge - both have an open theme,

Sew Many Challenges and A Spoon Full of Sugar - both have Easter challenges,

Two new techniques...

...........which are a sidestep card (link here ) and acetate flowers. Can you tell I am off work this week? I always get a bit more adventurous as I have a bit more time. Mind you the flowers took two days because of the glue drying. It's not all fun though as I have spent most of this morning doing some Spring Cleaning - this included throwing away a lot of makeup to make room for --- guess what----- crafting gear!!!!
Anyhooo I have used the great sketch at Just Magnolia which is shown below:-

I hope my card still qualifies as I have now realised that I put the text on the sidestep bit - pretty please.
I have used the gorgeous Magnolia Stamp - Tilda with Bunny - coloured with watercolour crayons and mounted on to a nestability label which has been cuttlebugged! - I used the swirls folder. It is core'dinations card - whitewash so I have sanded it to show the green comeing through.

I have used some pale green glitter card, pale green mulberry paper and a DP from - sorry can't remember but will try to find out and edit later! I have used this on the sidestep bit too.

Now here are the acetate flowers - I printed some flowers from the Back to Nature CD Rom onto acetate. I then put different coloured glitter on the back. I used some jewellry wire as the stalks and gingerly attached them to the card!!! I am really rather pleased with the result after all that hard work!!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges

The Creative Cottage - Flowers,

Susie's Sassy Challenge - Easter,

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Green,

Sew Many Cards Challenge - Easter,

Stampin B's Design - Spring/Easter,

Saturday Spotlight - Your slick (acetate),

The Pink Elephant - Spring,

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Green,

Magnolia Stamp lovers - Die cut,

A Spoonfull of Sugar - Easter,

Roses on Paper Challenge - Easter, and,

Magnolialicios Highlights - Spring plus acetate.

What do you think? I appreciate everyones comments so please let me know you have been to see me.

Fussy and Fancy Friday Guest Designer card

Happy Friday to everyone and welcome to my card for this fortnights challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge which is Green either the colour or recycling. I am a Guest Designer for March so I will be doing another card near the end of the month. The sponsor for this challenge is Sweet Pea Stamps oh so gorgeous.

As you can see I have gone for the colour green although I could pretend that the lace is Mum's old knicker decoration!!!! - this may be true because I rescued it from her house recently before she sells up!!!! The image is from a My Craft Studio CD rom called Card Makers Library which has some beautiful silhouttes on it. I have mounted it onto a piece of black card with gold glitter on it and embossed using the swiss dots Cuttlebug folder. The paper is from a Papermania pack I bought recently called Capsule collection - Verde
The ribbon is from a set called Elements that I have had forever. I finished the image off with some green glitter. I have used the sketch at Midnight Madness shown below. There are two options and I chose the busier one!

I finished the whole card off with some black lace - origin disputed!! - which has been folded at the side next to the home made flower.

So there you have it!!! Please visit the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog for some more inspiration. Some of the girls have used the sponsors stamps so please pop by.

Now it wouldn't be a Dragonlady card without a few challenges being entered so here are the ones I will be entering this card in:-

Pile It On - The one you must (one colour plus a neutral) I have chosen Green and Black,

Bee Crafty - Embossing,

Ooh La La Challenge - Anything Goes,

Die Cuts R Us and Crafty Creations - Make your own flowers,

The Pixie Cottage - Green and,

Flutterby Wednesdays - Butterfly, fairy or angel and it's theur 100th Challenge - congratulations.

An easel Mother's Day card

This card is for my Mum I hope she likes it. I have used one of my Penny Black stamps - I do love those hedgies. The challenge at Penny Black Saturday this week is to make an easel card. Now I couldn't find the instructions I had written down but no problem I managed it anyway so it must be easy!!!

The image was coloured using my watercolour crayons, then mounted it onto a pale green glitter scalloped circle. The papers are from Smirk - "Naughty but Nice" and "Love and Friendship". They have all been distressed around the edge.

The daffodils holding the card up are actually buttons and the word is made from a Spellbinders alphabet set called Childhood. Whoops I nearly forgot - the sketch I used was the one at Sketch Saturday and is shown below:-

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:-

Quirky Crafts - Buttons,

Rosie D's Challenge - Spring,

Cute Daisy May - Mother's Day,

Crafty Angels - Butterflies,

Sophisticat Challenge - Flourishes and Bling,

Stamp With Fun - Spring,

Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Mother's Day, and,

Charisma Cardz - Butterflies.

Thank you all for reading, please let me know what you think.

The Owls Have it!

Good evening everyone, hope you had a bright sunny Sunday like we did - but oooh there was a nip in the air. Now I have been doing a lot of cutting out recently having purchased the Back To Nature CD Rom from Polka Doodles. This is one of the cards I came up with, not as fiddly as the sheep I did a few days ago. I hope the recipient likes it and forgives me for posting it a little early!!!!!

Here is a close up of the 3D - hope you can see it. I just love these cute owls so maybe you will be seeing more of them!!!!

Anyway, I will be entering it in the following challenges :-

Pixie Dust Studio - 3D,

Quixotic Challenge - Leave it out (project with leaves on it),

By the Cute and Girly - Spring is in the Air,

Oh just one more thing and hope you don't mind me being ever so slightly cheeky. My two little dragons now have their very own blog so I would love it if you checked it out. It is called The Dragonlettes and will feature their cards and other creations - mainly my eldest who is 5 but occasionally my 3 year old will feature too.

Thank you

Mother's Day Gem

Good evening fellow crafters, hope everyone is OK. Well I have been trying to do this card since this challenge started!!! back on 8th February - talk about leaving it to the last minute - oh yes I mean A Gem of a Challenge - this was their first challenge and I love Janet's images so I wanted to join in. You need to use a Pink Gem image - mine is called Sprinkles and Ladybird and use the sketch below.

I had to flip it to get the image on the way I wanted to. I coloured with watercolour crayons and glttered her wins with glitter glue.

The flowers are a mixture of Petaloo and Papermania and another one - I can't remember the name - oh yes I got it Flora Doodles. The smaller ones have a tiny silver brad through them. I have used some gems and ribbon from my stash. The papers are from Funky Fairys distressed and inked and in the background I have used silver miricard. The image is mounted onto one of my Spellbinders labels 4 (S4-190) , I cut the shape from Whitewash Core'dinations card and sanded the edges and inked them. The letters are using the Childhood alphabet set from Spellbinders - I bought it here and even after postage it was cheaper than anything I had seen in the UK.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges :-

Stamp Something - Girly,

Alphabet Challenge Blog - S is for Stamping,

Polka Doodles - Something stamped and wings,

Pollycraft Monday - Distressing,
