Where Am I? Candy!!

I've just been away for a couple of days with the family and this is where were spent the day on Sunday. Any ideas? Well if you can guess the right place I will send you a little pressie.
We had a great time but my two little Dragonlettes seem to be intent on making sure we get very little sleep on a camping trip. Any hints and tips on getting a 5 and 3 year old to sleep at a reasonable time greatfully received!!!!!

The draw will be on 6th June.
Good Luck!!

Popcorn cutie!

Cor blimey what a scorcher, perfect for taking pictures, but dare I say it too hot to sit in!!!!! No, honestly I am not complaining. Do you ever sit wondering what card to make next for several days and then one just comes along just like that??? All I had to start this was my new purchase - the Popcorn kids collection - but then I picked a sketch and was on a roll as they say!!! The sketch is the one at The Pixie Cottage shown below........

...............and you could also choose to have something 3D or papertole - not sure if my image is papertole but it is certainly 3D!!!

The papers and image are from the CD, the matting card was from the Papermill and I have distressed everything. It's funny (well it is to me) but I only learnt about distressing from blogging and now a card doesn't look right without a bit of distressing now!!!!
Here is a closeup...............................

The flowers were punched from the DP and corrugated card and finished off with a brad and some distress ink. The ribbon is from Anitas and the scalloped circle is a nestability.

So onto the challenges I am entering with this card. Again I didn't necessarily make the card to fit the challenges but it does fit quite a few.

Just Cute Bears - Recipe - 3 Brads, 2 papers and 1 ribbon,

Creative Inspirations - Punches or dies,

Totally Gorjuss - round and round,

Pile It On - Photo inspiration - I chose brown and cream,

Quirky Crafts - Chocolate and Cream,

Practical Scrappers - Patterned Paper,

Kaboodle Doodles - Monochrome,

Papertake Weekly - Say it with flowers,

Sew Many Challenges - Anything Goes,

Doodle Palace and Charisma Cardz both want 3D.

As ever thank you for all your wonderful comments they mean so much to me.

The butterfly and fairy have glitter on their wings (click on the piccie for a closer look). The paper is from a pack by DCWV called the Glitter Stack. I have distressed the edges, and mounted the image onto Core'dinations card stock which has been sanded and distressed.  I made the sentiment using a freebie font called The King and Queen Font - definately a favourite of mine. Good evening everyone - on this historic day -sorry to all my fellow American crafters - Gordon Brown has just resigned and David Cameron is about to be announced as the new Prime Minister. Lets hope for a bit of stability.

Anyway on to happier things!!! My card today was my effort at decoupaging or paper toling Tilda - not entirely happy with it to be honest. Here is the wonky artistic view!!

I have coloured my little Princess with Sakura Stardust gel pens and water colour pencils. I have used some Crafters Companion papers from the Boys and Girls CD Rom, printed onto pearlised paper - really pleased with how this worked out but probably doesn't show in the photos.
I used the sketch at Magnolialicios Highlights shown below...............

Penny Black Christmas in May

Good evening everyone and I am writing this whilst watching Top Gear in the Jungle - boy it is sooooo funny!!!!
Anyway back to crafting and I managed to whip this up today in between the weekly shop, swimming with the two dragonlettes and supervising their play on bike and scooter - not all at the same time!!! I thought it was about time for a purple card, as it is my favourite colour.
I have used the sketch at Penny Black Saturday ..........

...........and it is their 100th Challenge so they are having a blog hop as well.

I have used a really cute Penny Black image, coloured with watercolour crayons. The papers are from a Papermania Contemporary Christmas pack. The sentiment is from Lily of the Valley.

The scalloped circles were done using my nestabilities out of white and purple glitter card (my bling).

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:-

Quirky Crafts Challenge - Going Postal (there are stamps on the paper),

Lexis Creations - Animals,

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Furry Friends,

.............along with the recipe you have to use - Fabric (my ribbon), Green and Checks. I adapted it into an easel card - love these cards.

I coloured Tilda in with my Sakura Stardust gel pens and added glitter to the swirls and wings. The papers are from Crafters Companion and Elemental Pixies and everything else is from my stash.
