For Daniel

I am writing this post to let you know about a very special young man named Daniel. He is the son of Lynne who used to run Sentiments 4 You. She also used to be on the Totally Tilda Design Team.
Now our Lynne has had a rought time recently because her son has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The prognosis is quite positive as you will see when you check out Lynne's post.
Our gorgeous lady is doing a sponsored slim in aid of

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

so why not read her story and make a donation.

Totally Tilda Midweek reminder Challenge #45 Stitching

Good morning bloggers and hope you are enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning. Mine has been ridiculously annoying. I have been trying to get online to do this post for over 2 hours this morning but have been unable to. I have had to write this is Word and hopefully will transfer it at some point. I DO NOT NEED THIS.

So it is your midweek reminder for the lovely Totally Tilda Challenge which is..........

STITCHING REAL OR FAUX

You must, of course, also have a Tilda in there somewhere!!! You wouldn’t believe how many people have failed to read the rules for our challenges recently – or maybe you would???

Here is some more inspiration for you

I couldn’t wait to use my new Spellbinders shapeabilities Sewing Elements for this as I thought they were perfect for it – I have used Coredinations whitewash card for these. Thank you to my boss Susie Sugar for the Vintage Couch image that Tilda is sitting on – I have tried to make it look as though she is in a room with the dp being the wallpaper. I have coloured the images with my trusty Promarkers. I have hand stitched the edging with embroidery silk and wrapped some around the bobbin shape. I have distressed the edges wherever I can and inked with Worn Lipstick distress ink. There is a doily underneath and some lace across the bottom – all from my stash. The background paper is from a Polka Doodles CD – Double Sprinkle of Kraft.

I have done an inside for this one

and had to write the sentiment.

I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges:-

Magnolia-licious Highlites - Luiscious Lace,

Simply Magnolia Challenge - Use 2 magnolia stamps,

Magnolia Mania Challenge - Bingo - Tilda, Lace and distressing,

Passion For Promarkers - cut It Out,

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes,

Polka Doodles Challenge - Shabby Chic/Vintage,

Our Craft Lounge - Vintage theme, and,

Looking forward to seeing some more fabulous creations.

Hugs

Yeh it has finally come to pass - what on earth is she on about I hear you ask? Well my lovely blogging friends I now have a craft room!!!! Which means I can now join in with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - I have looked at some fine desks and have been jealous for too long. So here it is .................

OK so it's a dining room table but the dining room is full of my crafty stuff so to me it qualifies as a craft room. Gone are the days of tidying up my craft stuff after a session - so that I can go to bed - now now Mrs Sugar no smutty remarks thank you!!!
It is also rather a messy desk but I am sure you will forgive me as I haven't had this luxury before.
I don't have to put my Cuttlebug away and I can now use my Imagine as well!!!
Only thing missing is a TV so I can spend more time there in the evening - although I did spend a really nice evening before Easter listening to some old CDs - Genesis, Right Said Fed and All About Eve - does that bring back some memories??? - it did for me.
Looking forward to visiting a few desks when I return from work.
