Die Cut Dreams Challenge #88 Wedding

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!!!! I was too busy watching the new Harry Potter DVD Deathly Hallows Part I last night and totally forgot to do my DT post for this morning. So I now have to keep telling the children to leave me alone for a minute because I forgot to do something - like that's going to happen!!!!

Boy oh boy how many gorgeous creations did we see last fortnight, the talent in blogland is outstanding thank you everyone for playing along and check out the Die Cut Dreams Challenge blog to see who won and got a top3 place.

Our challenge for this fortnight is..........

WEDDING

I know we are going to see some fantastic creations this time.

Here is my bit of inspiration for you

I have used a lovely Popcorn stamp which I have had for ages - it is from the Wedding Day set. It is coloured with watercolours and the die cut has been glittered around the ages. The frame was made using an EK Success punch - Garden Flower chain - then I put pearls in the middle of the flowers. I finished it off with some flowers I bought at Hobby Craft last year and glittered. The background paper has been in my stash forever and has a lovely sheen to it.

Please check out my team mates creations for some more fantastic inspiration. Their links are on my left sidebar.

Just a few challenges to enter:-

Cute Card Thursday - No text,

Little Miss Muffet - Glitter and shine,

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Flowers,

Fab'n'Funky - Here comes the bride,

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Let's Celebrate,

Stamping for the Weekend - Wedding,

Totally Papercrafts - Weddings, and,

Stamping Vacation - Oasis Occasion - Wedding.

So I guess weddings is a popular theme - can't think why!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone going to watch on Friday?

Happy Easter Everyone!

I hope you are all well and having a lovely Easter Sunday. This is my last Easter creation using the Nitwits Egg-stra Special collection although I can see many uses for the papers for other cards.

Now I received a beautiful card from Helen who inspired me to try faux stitching again. This is what I won from her recently ( I have also decided that if ever I win something - which doesn't happen that often - I am going to post about it so I can remember who I won what from - if you know what I mean).

and here is a closeup of my attempt

and hopefully you can see the glitter too.

Just a couple of Easter challenges for this one!
Totally Gorjuss - Bling it on,

Crazy 4 Challenges - make an Easter card,

"Lasting Memories" Challenge #35 A sketch and my last DT post.

Lasting Memories

Happy easter Sunday everyone, I hope the weather is as good where you are. We are having a bit of a heat wave in South Devon - perfect timing for once as the whole of the Easter holidays have been lovely. Anyway it is with great sadness that I have to say this is my last DT post for "Lasting Memories" Layout Challenges. Karen gave me a wonderful opportunity and I have had lots of fun creating my digital layouts and the occasional paper one. A big thank you to everyone on the team - they are wonderful girls and I will continue to follow them and hopefully play along from time to time.

So onto our sketch for this week..........

....................which I have flipped - here..............

On our recent visit to the New Forest (sorry I didn't pop in Lyn - didn't realise I could!!!) we went to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. We spent the whole day - no not looking at cars but I had to keep DH happy!!! - there was so much to do so the children were happy. They asked me to take this picture of them with the car Mr Bean used in his film.
So please check out my teammates creations for some more fabulous inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar. Don't forget to play along and perhaps try out for a Design Team position.

Lasting Memories Challenge #34 Easter theme

Hi everyone, I'm back and posting my Lasting Memories layout for the current challenge - Easter theme, it can be an Easter layout, easter colours, even bunnies and duckies- and remind you that you have plenty of time to play along. I am a bit late because I have been on holiday with my children to the New Forest. My layout is about one of our days out to a steam railway called the Watercress Line. They were running special events over the Easter holidays and part of that was for the children to get their faces painted. Now I'm sure you all know how much children like this activity - and most of them will stay still long enough for it to be done!!!!
My layout was done using Craft Artist Platinum and one of the many kits you can find at Daisytrail.
Hope you like it.

OK, now onto the challenge... We are so lucky to have Sassy Cheryls as our sponsor this week!

She has the most adorable images. If you haven't been to her store you should pop over and take a look.
Here is a little bit about them...
"Hi everyone! Sassy Cheryl here and I’m so happy to be sponsoring the Aud Sentiments challenge this week. I have been creating graphics and have licensed my work to companies such as Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and Shopko, among others, for over six years. I started creating digital images about ten ago. I absolutely LOVE to draw and always carry a small sketchbook for those times when a bit of inspiration hits. It's been a lifelong dream to become a working artist, and besides deadlines, I LOVE everything about what I do! It really helps that I have a very supportive husband and son (they also can be my biggest critics!) Through the digis I create, I’ve met so many wonderful, talented ladies. The projects they make using my images makes it all worth it. ‘Can’t wait to see what you will create with my Sassy images. " "

The theme for this challenge is ANYTHING GOES! This is perfect for all you trying out for the team to really show us what you love to make!
Here is my card using Bunny Chit Chat from our sponsor

............JOURNALING .............

I am sorry this is a short post but I have caught a bug - I have no voice at all!!! Some may say that is a good thing especially the children as I can't shout at them. Sorry sometimes a Mother has to, especially when you have asked them something three times and nothing has happened!!!

Here is my layout

Again I have used paper and an embellishment from the Egg-stra Special collection by Nitwit, and my trusty Craft Artist programme. We went shopping a couple of weeks ago and these are the outfits they chose.
Please visit my team mates for some more fabulous inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.

Just a couple of challenges:-

Sketches In Thyme - I have used their sketch,

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes,

Tuesday Throwdown - Spring, and,

Flutterby Wednesday - Open theme must have a butterfly, fairy or angel.

Have a great day.

Lili of the Valley - Bunny!

My second post tonight is more in my comfort zone!!! One of my newest stamps is from Lili of the Valley - Little Acorn and I love it but I should have coloured it differently, never mind.
I have used watercolour crayons and then I distressed the edges of the nestie and mounted it on kraft card - I got it from Elzybells before she shut down. The backing paper is from a paper pack from the Woodland Folk series. I have distressed the edges with the Tim Holtz distress tool and distress inks. The sentiment is also from LOTV - Dreamy Days Circular sentiments - also heavily distressed! I have used some ribbon from my stash and some flowers I won a long time ago. They have been glittered and teamed up with some pearls (I think I got from Craftykitten - sorry I can't remember hun!!!).

I am entering this card in the following challenges:-

Totally Stampalicious - Birthday card,

Birthday Sundaes - Anything Goes (birthday sentiment),

The Stamp Man Challenge - Anything Tim,

Simon Says Challenge - Sketch (not sure if it is OK tho),

The Crafty Pad - Flowers,

Crafty Creations - Bunny, and,

Craft Us Crazy - Easter or Spring.

Oh well off to bed - let's hope the dragonlettes let me sleep!!

Hugs

Less Is More

My first card for tonight is another entry in the Less Is More challenge - A touch of red. I have used a set of stamps that was free from Simply Cards and Papercraft made by Pink Petticoat. Hopefully it has improved from the last one I entered. I would also like to say that I really appreciated the constructive criticism I received - it was very helpful and I agreed with the consensus of opinion.

The other challenges I am entering with this card are :-

Totally Stampalicious - Birthday card,

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes,

Birthday Sundaes - Anything Goes (birthday sentiment),

Dream Valley Challenge - Things with wings, and,

Polka Doodles Challenge - No printed backing papers.

Hi everyone, hope you are having a lovely relaxing Sunday - especially all you gorgeous Mums out there (It is Mothering Sunday in the UK). This weeks challenge is all about spring! Here is my digital layout using a picture of cherry blossom. I have always wanted a cherry tree just for the blossom in the spring but I still don't have one, this is one just up the road from my house!!

Please check out my team mates creations for some more inspiration - their links are on my left sidebar.
