The cover page has been made using papers from the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary and the remainder is using digikits from Daisytrail.

 I made the background with acrylic paints and a stencil. I have also used a spellbinders die - elegant squares and a butterfly die. The image is coloured with Promarkers, I always go back to the Promarker for colouring. I also added some checked ribbon to the tag with a computer generated sentiment.

and here is my creation

I used a beautiful image called A Gift from the Stars courtesy of our sponsor. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and made it suitable for a boy or girl. I generated the sentiment myself and used a Spellbinders tag die to cut it out. I attached the tag to some ribbon using a glittery brad - I have had these for absolutely ages and find it very hard to use (I like them so much!!). The papers are from a set called Nanas Nursery - baby boy from DCWV.

The image was coloured with Promarkers and is from our sponsor this week Heart Song Designs. I have used some papers that were free in a craft magazine. Some card candy for the corners and then the border mounted on pale blue glitter card was made using a punch.

Not a colour scheme I have used before but I had the paper already printed off and decided to use it for the theme. It is from Nitwits and called Egg-stra Special Collection. I have distressed the edges and coloured them with TH Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade. I have also used this to colour the American seam binding. The flowers were from the Hobby Craft shop - about two years ago now!!!!!
I have used whitewash Core'dinations card for the embossed card using the Cuttelbug folder - Floral Fantasy. The butterfly is from a Papermania Urban set called Botanical Print - stamped onto the paper and cut out.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #41 Thanks

Wow these weeks are flying by and it is time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments. Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our make us laugh challenge - there were some corkers!!

and here is the inside (yes you read it right - I don't often do this!!!)...

The papers are from the SWALK Winter collection CDRom from Crafters Companion. I have used water colour crayons and large amounts of glitter for her wings!!!!! I have done a bit of freestyle doodling to frame the image - must say I am enjoying this and I feel it is so effective. I have distressed and inked the edges of the DP and image and the ribbon has been coloured with TH Distress ink too!!

Aud Sentiments Challenge #21 Corny Valentine

Wow everyone, we had so many entries last fortnight and such a high standard we had real trouble picking the winner and top 3 - check out the Aud Sentiments Challenge blog to see if it was you.

Our challenge this fortnight is to use a CORNY VALENTINE SAYING ............so get your thinking caps on.

We are being sponsored by Inktegrity who will be giving the winner a $10 gift voucher.

The DT were given a selection of images to use and I chose Mikey the Monkey who comes with several valentine type sentiments.

I used Promarkers to colour him and cut the image out with the scalloped spellbinder die cut. I matted it on to another scalloped border - I draw around the one I used to cut out the image so the border around is not too large. I have distressed both circles with Tea dye distress ink.

The buttons, flowers and border are from a Polka Doodles CD - the flowers have been distressed cut and crumpled for added texture. The sentiment is one of the ones you get with Mikey the Monkey.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #6 No sentiments

Well, here we are again, July already and nearly time for the UK schools to break up for summer. Here at  Aud Sentiments we are on to our sixth challenge, but firstly, I must say thank you to everyone who took part in our last challenge. We got 50 entries, the most so far and the choice was very difficult so well done to the winners.

Now for this fortnights challenge it is a NO SENTIMENTS theme, and here is my card....

I have used a beautiful image called Kei with Leaf from a great designer - Spesch Stamps who is our sponsor for this challenge - and the lucky winner can choose 3 digis or one stamp of their choice. I think they are great and just that little bit different.

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and the rest of the card has been made using various scraps I had left in my stash and some practice pieces - like the swirly embossed background and the flower.

New Challenge Blog First DT card.

Yipeeee it's Thursday and time for a brand new Challenge blog - Aud Sentiments - we will have a new challenge every other Thursday and would love it if you could join us.
The first challenge is to use the sentiment - "Happy Mother's Day" - anything else you use is entirely up to you.

I am really pleased to say that our sponsor for our first challenge is Merrigan from Bee Crafty and she has kindly let us use her images for our cards.

So here is my card................

I have used an image called Little Lady Kitty Cuddles who I thought was perfect for a Mother's day card. I coloured her with Promarkers, and mounted her on to some pale green glitter card.

The flowers are from Papermania as is the bow, and have a jewel brad in the centre. The papers are from papermania too and I made the sentiment myself using a free font called The King and Queen font. I have used the great sketch from Friday Sketchers which is shown below.

As you can see I have added some extras as I felt it looked a bit bare in places. I would love it if you could visit my team mates to check out their creations. Just click on their name.
