Eagle-tastic!!!

OMG a picture with me in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This doesn't happen very often you know so make the most of it. The girls and I were staying at my Mother-In-Laws (yes, she is the best granny ever). We went to Glastonbury Abbey and whilst walking or running (the girls only I must stress) we noticed a stall with lots of birds of prey. On closer inspection you could actually hold the bird of your choice - you had to be 16 or over for the Eagle (I just made it then!!).
The girls chose the Barn Owl - he was gorgeous and the girls were excellent with him. They were so excited before and then really quiet and perfect whilst holding him. Then it was my turn, and I found out why you had to be older for the Eagle - it was sooooooo heavy, especially after he had been sitting on my arm for a while. My heart was beating so hard. He was so majestic and fantastic to look at.
The people doing the stall were from Sharandys Birds of Prey  - they were fantastic too.

Die Cut Dreams Challenge #96 Pink, Green and Coffee.

Hi everyone, finally back in business after a fun packed holiday in Edinburgh. I have now experienced the famous "Fringe" festival, having watched two street performers and one in a venue. Now we saw a man juggling on a unicycle, a man blowing loads of bubbles and a rather rude Australian comic juggler. Who would you say the kids liked the best???? Yep you guessed it, the bad mouthed Australian!!! He used every B word going but he had us in stitches and was by far my favourite too!!!!

Sorry for the diversion - back to business with the next challenge at Die Cut Dreams which is ..

PINK, GREEN AND COFFEE.

Here is my DT card..............

and a closeup.......

I have used a favourite of mine - Dinner Tilda who has been coloured with watercolour crayons. I have added pearls for her necklace and bracelet. I have sat her on a frame made by the Spellbinders Labels One. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley - Inspirational Sentiments - and the plate is coloured with TH Distress Ink Worn Lipstick and then sprayed with Pearl Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The background is a page from an old book, torn and distressed with more distress inks - Tea Dye and Vintage Photo I think and then sparayed again and finally stamped with a swirl stamp (can't find it at the moment - sorry).

I really looke forward to seeing your creations. If you would like some more inspiration please check out my teammates blogs - their links are on my left sidebar.

Here are the challenges I would like to enter:-

The Crafty Pad - Cute and Girly,

Dream Valley Challenge - Distressing,
