Olympic Torch Relay

Just had to do a layout about today. We only decided to go and watch the relay after seeing the coverage on the news of the torch arriving in England. It had to be a quick decision as this is only the second day of the relay!!!!
The girls actually enjoyed all the excitement and I even met some old friends too. Of course the rather scrummy ice cream probably helped.
It did become a bit frustrating when everyone started crowding into the road to get a view of the procession. We were rather lucky because we actually saw the flame being handed over between two runners.
The atmosphere was brilliant and at the end of the day it is a bit of history!!

Anyone else planning to go - I would recommend it if you can.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #54 Midway inspiration

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments which is ......
Fathers (Must use a form of the word Dad in your sentiment such as Dad, Daddy, Father, Papa, etc) and our sponsor is Ellephantastic

Here is my card using one of their images........

Perfect for Fathers Day which is coming up on the 17th June in the UK.

I have coloured the image using my trusty Promarkers. I have used a cuttlebug embossing folder with Coredinations card behind him and some twine to finish it off. The letters are from a Spellbinders alphabet which I got a while ago form an American site but can't find anywhere - I think it may have been discontinued.  The paper in the background is from a Crafters Companion cdrom - Boys and Girls.
I look forward to your entries.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers - Anything Goes,

Creative Stamp Friends - Fathers Day,

Allsorts Challenge - Card for a Man/Boy,

Crafty Emmas Challenge - Anything Goes, and,

Little Claires Challenge - Male themed card.

Hugs to you all

Totally Tilda Challenge #46 Tilda Princess in Pink

Good morning bloggers and hope you are enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning. Hope the weather is good too wherever you may be.
So it is your midweek reminder for the lovely Totally Tilda Challenge which is..........

PRINCESS TILDA IN A PINK DRESS
For this challenge you must please use a Tilda wearing either a crown or a tiara.

Here is my inspiration for you....

I tried something new this time and coloured using Distress Inks - really happy with the result too. The castle has been coloured with Promarkers. I have also used one of my new purchases - apart from the castle stamp - the TH die cut clock. I was going with the Fairytale theme so my clock says nearly midnight! The embossed background was done by versamarking the folder then putting it through the cuttlebug. I then put embossing powder on it and heated. The butterflies are from a Papermania Urban set called Botanical. Pearls, lace and brads are from my stash. The sentiment is from a SWALK set that I received from my bestest crafting buddy - Crafty Kitten. Thanks darling girl.
I would like to enter the following challenges:-

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Pink, Green and Light Yellow/ecru,

Fairy Tale Challenges - Things with Wings,

Just Magnolia Challenge - More than one stamp,

Simply Create Challenge - Mothers Day or Feminine,

Stampin for the Weekend - No less than 4 layers,

Charisma Challenge - Pink and Girlie,

My Mums Craft Shop - Fairy tales,

Anything Goes Challenge - Things with Wings, and,

Have fun.

WOYWW

It's Wednesday and I am back to show you my desk for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday - I missed last Wednesday due to computer problems, I couldn't get online!!!!

Messy as usual and about three different things on the go. The red stamp is still uninked but comes from Indigo Blu. I also had to cover one thing up otherwise you may get a tip off for the next Totally Tilda challenge.

I would also like to say thank you to everyone who came to visit my desk last time.

I will hopefully visit more of you this week.

Hugs
