Goodbye Poodle

Unfortunately, our poor darling little cat, Poodle, had to be put to sleep on Tuesday night. She had been having treatment for a thyroid problem and liver problems. We knew it was almost certain that this would be necessary but she took the decision out of our hands. On Tuesday morning I picked her up in the morning for a cuddle and she didn't purr, she did the same to my husband. We both had to go to work but we talked again about the fact that she wasn't winning the battle.
When I got home from picking the girls up from school she was nowhere to be seen/found. We were just finishing our tea when a neighbour called to say she had a black cat in her garden, was it ours. My hubby rushed off to get her - and what a sorry state she was in. She couldn't move and was obviously on her way out. So he had to take her straight to the vet - get this she was now purring. She even tried to fight the needle (my husband relayed to me when he got home).
She was the most understanding little cat - having to put up with two boisterous young ladies!!! She loved to be around the family and will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace my darling.

Hi everyone, welcome to the next challenge at Totally Tilda, but first I must say thank you to everyone who joined in with our Bunting/Pennants challenge, it was so hard to pick our favourites.

This fortnight our challenge is all about................

SEA/SEASIDE THEME

and we have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge...

Sir Stampalot who have a couple of Magnolia Stamps for the lucky winner.

I have done some faux stitching around the image with Sakura stardust gel pen. The swirls were made using a Marianne die to look like seaweed. Lots of pearls dotted around for bubbles and some background paper and ribbon from a magazine. the string is supposed to be some sailors rope and a charm for some added interest! The sentiment is from a Kay Carley set called Flitters and Flutters.
