Yeh we are finally here my first DT card which is for the new challenge at the
Digital-Ink Co, you need to create a tag, layout, card or project showing your interpretation of
PEACE - a feeling, piece of cake, what gives you peace or world peace - whatever you want to do with PeaceThe sponsors this week - yes you read it right, we are now a weekly challenge - are
Paper Wishes
1st Place Winner receives Paper Wishes Gift
2nd Place Winner receives 2 stamps
3rd Place Winner receives 1 stamp.
Here are the rules to follow:
1. You must post the image of the prizes on your blog/website with a link to our blog. Here is a small image for you to use for your side bar.
2. Be a follower (if you are not already)
3. Sign the “Mister Linky”, so that we can stop by and leave you lots of love. We love to do this!!!!!
You may enter any of our challenges as many times as you like, as long as the challenge piece is different. Of course, the more you enter, the more times you are entered into our drawings. We always love to see when Digital-ink Co. stamps are used in our challenges, so if you use one of our stamps, you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing twice!! Isn't that cool?
The challenge runs from February 22nd to February 28th at 8am EST and the winner will be announced along with our next challenge on March 1st.
Now onto my card - I have used the Dragonfly Flower image by
Beary Dust Stamps which is shown below,
and is only $1.50 what fabulous value. This high quality stamp is in Jpeg, Png & Tiff format. They are 300Dpi perfect for printing. Add these to your paper products for a bit of whimsy and maybe a bit of Beary Dust will fall on you for luck!
I coloured mine with Promarkers on the flower and then used glitter on the Dragonfly wings and H2Os for the body. I put the image in a globe from the new My Craft Studio CD Rom (can't find it anywhere!) Cardmakers Library Vol 1 plus a background paper from the same CD.
The words were done in MS Word using a free font called
The King and Queen and mounted on to some Core'dinations card stock which has been distressed. I also inked around the edges of the white paper with Tim Holtz
Tea Dye Distress Ink. The central piece is also Core'dinations cardstock - I have distressed this using my Tim Holtz
Distressing tool. I used the sketch at
Carol's Sketch Fun shown below.
So as you all know I like to join in with other challenges and DT cards are no exception.
So what are you waiting for? Check out the other cards from the DT at the
Digital-Ink Co - I am proud to be a member of such a talented group. I would love to see what you come up with.
Hugs
