Aud Sentiments Challenge #70 Any Sentiment

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments. I can't believe it's all over - mind you I am now on to my third Christmas dinner!!! Christmas day at home just the four of us, Boxing Day up to my Mother-in-laws, today my Mum and her brother are coming over, and then tomorrow we are off to my Sister-In-Laws for their wedding anniversary!!! (that is the plan but I am scheduling this and writing it on Christmas eve so fingers crossed everything runs smoothly!)

So perhaps you need reminding of the current challenge....

I have coloured the image with a mixture of Promarkers and Sakura stardust gel pens. The flower is just a strip of white paper about half an inch wide by 21 inches long folded concertina style and joined in a ring and glued to a circle, glittered and embellished with a white pearl. I punched out some leaves from the same white paper and glittered them too - I had tried glittered card but it wasn't the same white and looked all wrong. The sentiment is from a Papermania Christmas stamp set. Ribbon from my stash as are the pearls.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #69 Reminder and DT Call

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments.
 

We want to see any creation as long as it includes a sentiment relevant to the holidays - so that could be Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza etc. I can't stress this enough, PLEASE don't forget to include a sentiment!

The gold mirri card in the background has been embossed. The paper is from one of the Polka Doodles Cds and the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. Nice and simple. Ideal as I have been running around like a headless chicken sorting out my daughters homework - making a nativity puppet, Thank goodness I bought a glue gun recently - ideal for sticking awkward things quickly.

I have used a freebie quick page from Just So Scrappy called Bounti-fall Blessings. I just took it into Craft Artist Professional 2, made it into a frame and added the picture and a bit of journaling. The otter is one of a pair who are resident at Dartmoor Zoo - if you ever get a chance for a visit you must check them out at feeding time, they are such great characters.

Hi everyone, it's Thursday again and time for another reminder for you.

and here is my inspiration for you, I have gone for a CAS card.

I have used one of the new Spellbinders D-Lites called Fantastic Flourish. I had to try a couple of times as the die is so intricate - greaseproof paper helped!!! I have added a few tiny gems and a sentiment from a Kay Carley stamp set. The sentiment has been embossed with pink sparkly Wow powder. I hope you like it.

My NEC stash and guess who I met!

Hi everyone, yes boring it may be but this is what I got at the NEC this year. It is the only time I get to see my bestest ever crafting buddy Dawn AKA Crafty Kitten. We had a great laugh and did a couple of make and takes. I now know how to make earings - it's a lot easier than I expected. Also we tried out some sewing on cards using metallic thread and gems. Of course we spent a bit too but it is so worth the trip - getting up at 5am to catch the train etc.

We also met one of my favoutite Create and Craft presenters - Dean Wilson

 

This is the one Dawn has on her blog - he is making a funny pose because he thought she was pointing the camera down!!!

 

But here is a piccie of me with Dean - now I don't do photos so you won't see many pictures of me! It had to be done though LOL.

 

 

Thank you Dawn for a fabulous day - I just wish we didn't live so far away from each other.
