Goodbye Poodle

Unfortunately, our poor darling little cat, Poodle, had to be put to sleep on Tuesday night. She had been having treatment for a thyroid problem and liver problems. We knew it was almost certain that this would be necessary but she took the decision out of our hands. On Tuesday morning I picked her up in the morning for a cuddle and she didn't purr, she did the same to my husband. We both had to go to work but we talked again about the fact that she wasn't winning the battle.
When I got home from picking the girls up from school she was nowhere to be seen/found. We were just finishing our tea when a neighbour called to say she had a black cat in her garden, was it ours. My hubby rushed off to get her - and what a sorry state she was in. She couldn't move and was obviously on her way out. So he had to take her straight to the vet - get this she was now purring. She even tried to fight the needle (my husband relayed to me when he got home).
She was the most understanding little cat - having to put up with two boisterous young ladies!!! She loved to be around the family and will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace my darling.

Ali, I'm so sorry I am a long way behind leaving any comments!

Oh this is so horrible for you! I know there comes a time when you have to make the decision and do the kindest thing...but it's so hard!
We had to do the same thing with Maisie a couple of years ago and I found it the hardest decision I've ever made but I know it was the right thing to do, I couldn't see her suffering, but it broke my heart.

Sending you big hugs
