Hi everyone, and welcome to the next challenge at Digitally "Sweet" Challenges. Firstly, I must thank those of you who played in our last challenge.

....I decided to make a birthday card. I have digitally painted the image in Craft Artist Professional V2 - a slow process but I used a soft brush and enlarged the image so that I could colour within the lines!!!!!
I am looking forward to your creations which must have something digital on them - remember?

Aud Sentiments Challenge #87 Anything BUT a Birthday Card

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments.

Our challenge this fortnight is to make something that is

NOT A BIRTHDAY CARD

but don't forget a sentiment.

We are sponsored by Kathryn from Stamp Art Design.

Kathryn also let the design team pick an image to use, so I chose Pretty Petals and here is what I made...................

I have made a digital card using Craft Artist Professional 2. The flowers have been coloured digitally for the main image and then I used the stamp feature for the background. The papers I used are by Krystal Hartley and are called Just A Number - they are currently a free download. The sentiment at the bottom came with the image.

I would also like to add my thanks to those of you who sent me your thoughts during this difficult time after my Mum passed away.
I am currently having good and bad days - I met someone who used to look after her in the care home and burst into tears yesterday.
I am lucky to have the support of my family and friends which has helped no end.

Hugs to you all

I would like to enter the following challenges:-

Jo's Scrap Shack Challenge - Anything Goes,

Creative Corner Challenge - Anything Goes,

Craft Your Passion - Summer Flowers, and,

Papertake Weekly - Flower Power.

Look forward to checking out your creations.

Goodbye Mum

This is just a short post to say goodbye to my Mum. She died recently after a short illness. She had been in a care home for the last 5 years but had been happy and well. I visited on the Sunday as usual and things were normal. On Monday she was taken into hospital and by Tuesday midmorning she had passed away. I had been with her on the Monday night holding her hand but I don't think she was aware of me being there. Maybe on some level she was. She was not in any pain or discomfort so I can be thankful for that.
At the time this is being posted I will be at the Funeral service. I am still finding it hard to get my head round what has happened as it was all so sudden and unexpected. I hope the funeral will help me on the way to accepting this change and help me through the grieving process.

The picture was taken when Mum was about 27 and is so typical of her in a way because even in her later years she was always dressed in a stylish and elegant way.

Say hello to Dad and the boys for me.

All my love Alison
