Digitally "Sweet" Challenge #55 Anything Goes

Hi everyone, and welcome to the next challenge at Digitally "Sweet" Challenges. Firstly, I must thank those of you who played in our last challenge.

The theme this week is

ANYTHING GOES

and I chose to play with The Garden digi bits and make a card.

 

 

I firstly took the digital images into Craft Artist Professional v2 and then into Cut out Studio. Here I cut out all the bits between the lines so that they became line drawings. I then printed them out onto patterned paper - a bit like digital paper piecing I suppose. I have then decorated them with pearls and glitter - I do love my bling!!

The papers are from a Polka Doodles CD called All Around and Everywhere. I then used an Xcut die called Ornate Frame for the middle panel which is kraft card and then I drew around it for the matt behind. The sentiment stamp is from an Indigo Blu set called Wild Meadow and the final bit of bling is from some frantage shabby pink embossing enamel.

We spent a lovely day on the beach at Exmouth. The sea was lovely and the sun was not too hot. One of Alex's friends from school came too and they played happily all day together. I even had the chance to try to get some arty, atmospheric photos - I would love to be better and must get myself onto a course.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #89 Autumn NOT Halloween

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments.  AND I must apologise for being so late. We are having a new kitchen fitted and it has totally addled my brain!!

Our challenge this fortnight is to make something with

AN AUTUMN SENTIMENT NOT HALLOWEEN

I coloured the main image with Promarkers and then made my own background and insert background using Starburst Stains - I have had them for over 9 years but hardly ever used them and I can't find them for sale anymore. The leaves and sentiment are from a Sheena Douglass Little Bit Sketchy Range of stamps called Autumn Leaves. I made another background with the stains and stamped on top and then cut them out - simple!

I decided to make a card and spent quite a long time colouring the image digitally.

and here is my layout using Elegant Message box as a frame

I have also used a background from a Daisytrail kit called Halloween 2011 a freebie. The hat and spiders web are from a Punches and Stamp kit called Hallows Eve and the August stamp was from the Dates and Photo Masks kit. I used a free font called Harry Potter for my title and journaling.
If you ever get the chance to go to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London I can recommend the Butter Beer - it was delicious. I have started searching for a recipe now!! I couldn't stop taking photos and we all had so much fun.

Gosh it is so peaceful as the children went back to school today - time to clean the house!!
