Hi everyone, and welcome to the next challenge at Digitally "Sweet" Challenges. Firstly, I must thank those of you who played in our last challenge.

I used Digi Darla Swirly Corner 2 and here is my creation.....

....using Craft Artist 2 Professional. I firstly took the swirly corner into Cutout Studio and made it into a line drawing which I must say is rather time consuming however, it does mean you can make it more versatile. So I put one in each corner coloured it to match my scheme and faded it too. I have taken the background paper from Hello Beautiful and the background stamp from The Letter:Stamps both by Juliana Kneipp. The butterfly and flower are from Daisy Trail kits Inkblot Butterflies and Cocoa Latte respectively.  The chevrons are from a kit by Jenn Barette called Background Noise 2 and finally the black lace doily is from a kit by Lilas Design called La Vie en Rose.

My first Christmas card for 2014!!!

I decided to use some lovely bright Promarkers and a piece of burlap ribbon. The papers are from a First Edition paper pack called Christmas Village. I also used another new Spellbinders border die called Curved Borders 2.

here is my inspiration card using Lil Fidget Hearts a Flutter

I have used Promarkers and Sakura stardust gel pens to colour her. I have used an Xcut die called Ornate Frames then I drew around it for the glitter background. I used one of my new Darice embossing folders Clouds  and centura pearl card. The background paper is from a First Edition paper pack called Dream Catcher and the flowers were from Create and Craft. The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons - I just won one of their advent competitions - Snow White Bling Velvet Ribbon and Sheer Silver White ribbon. The birthday sentiment is from the Dreamy Days set by Lili of the Valley.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #97 Focus on the Sentiment

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments.  I hope you are enjoying this challenge which is of course...

SENTIMENT AS YOUR FOCUS

and I chose to use one of the More Butterflies Sentiments...

and here is the side view of the canvas...

I have been working on it periodically over Christmas. I have used gesso mixed with acrylic paint through stencils and glittered on top for the texture in the background. I then added bits of book pages torn up which have been coloured with Dusty Concord distress ink and gold shimmer spray. I have stamped a postcard from a Lili of the Valley set called Background Bits - Notes and then distressed this with the ink and spray.  I then used a different stamp from a Chocolate Baroque set called Butterfly Poppy Collage. I used the Dusty Concord distress marker straight onto the stamp and then used my water brush to bring out the colour. Used deckle edge scissors to cut out the piece and us DC distress ink around the edges. Two butterflies from the same sheet cut out and distressed like the postcard. The sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 dies and pencilled around for the backing matt in glitter card.
