Hi everyone hope you are all well. Now did you notice something different with my photo?? Thanks to Tracy Vinson over at the Crafters Digital Art Centre I have now managed to put a water mark on my photos.
I had to use Picassa - there is a link over at CDAC to get a free download.
Anyhow, on to my card. I decided to get my Bumble Bee Sugar Nellie stamp out again (I won this in one of Melly's candies - thanks hun). I have paperpieced her again, but I think she really suits this method. I have made this card for a work colleague - hope she likes pink!!!

Hybrid Layout

And now for something completely different - a digital layout with a stamp - Shabby Chic Tilda so I think this is called a Hybrid!!!! I wanted to do a summery, beachy card but I don't have any of the new release from Magnolia yet, so I had to put my thinking hat on. I thought Shabby Chic Tilda would look good on a deckchair. I had to import a deckchair picture from google into my Digital Scrapbook Artist2 and made up the scene. I used one of the kits from Daisytrail called Pebbleshore, there are also free kits here which can be downloaded to your Scrapbook artist or as PNG files.

Here is a closeup................

..........but you still can't see her glittery wings!!!!

Please let me know what you think. Off to the park with my eldest Dragonlette who will be posting some creations at some point during her school holidays!!!!!

Just a few challenges this time...........

Crafty Catz - Summer Time

Crafty Creations - Summer Loving

Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Summer

Magnolia-licious Highlights - It's a Nautical Bloghop

Gingersnap Creations - Sunshine

Flutterby Wednesday - Open theme but must have a butterfly, fairy or angel

House Mouse Birthday

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all well. My daughter is now full of the joys of summer again having spent most of Saturday night being sick!!!!! Just relieved it wasn't something more serious - as all Mothers (and Dads of course) I am sure are the same as me - worry that it may be a hospital visit and something life threatening!!

So my card for today -  I used a House Mouse stamp. Now I had up till last week only one HM stamp which I purchased on ebay and was not cheap - admittedly it was a big one!!! Nevertheless I have not bought any more for that reason as they were only wood mounted. So as I was watching Create and Craft last week Joanna Sheen came on showing some unmounted HM stamps - boy was I pleased so I waited until they were on the JS site and purchased some (she is still cheaper even with the members 10% discount). This image is from the Birthday Ice Cream set - isn't it fun - as are all the HM stamps.

Here is the closeup....................

I have coloured the image with my trusty water colour crayons - I always go back to them.

The sketch is from Friday Sketchers shown below...........

..............thanks Jeanette.

OSAAT Guest Designer for Challenge #23 Black, White and one other colour.

A couple of weeks ago one of my cards won at One Stitch At A Time and along with some fabulous digi images I was asked to be a Guest Designer for this weeks challenge. So the challenge is to make a card, layout or any other creation with the colour theme of Black, White and one other colour. So my choice was....

....................was to use red as my other colour. I have used this beautiful stamp from Lili Of The Valley ......sorry the set I bought has sold out but they are supposed to be getting more in stock!!!
Here is a closer look................

I have coloured him with Promarkers and added some glitter on the snow. The background papers are from a MyCraft Studio CD Rom called "Classic Christmas" and the shaped background is from a glitter Stack by DCWV . I have punched out the snowflakes and added some Kaiser Scrapbook Rhinestones I received in a RAK last year.
I used the gorgeous sketch from Lili of the Valley by Bev..........

.......but of course I have added the bottom bit for the easel card.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:-

Meljens Designs - Easel card,

Three Muses - I know this is very tenuous so please remove my entry if you like - Mail Art,

Your Next Stamp - Easel Card,

Papertake Weekly - Cutie Patootie, and,

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Cats and/or dogs.

Must finish now as I have a sick little girl to deal with as I write this - Saturday scheduled for tomorrow - hopefully!!!

Have fun everyone.

Hugs

Candy Winners!!!!

Hi everyone and yes you did read correctly. I decided to have two winners, one for the main candy and one for the extra bits I added. That way I can spread the happiness a bit further (you will see how far when you hear who the winners are!).

I decided to use a very scientific method to find out the winner. I asked my two Dragonlettes to pick a number between 1 and 99 - the number of comments. The winner was number..................

6 and that just happens to be

?

?

?

Squirrel

and the other winner is number 91

which is

?

?

?

Amanda.

So one prize to England and the other to South Africa - just shows how far blogging goes. Could you ladies contact me by Friday if possible so I can get your prizes off to you.

Congratulations to you both

Digital Scrapbooking!!

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have all had a good day. Before I fill you in on the picture I just wanted to say a BIG YIPPPPPEEEEEEEE - I have reached 200 followers!!!!

When I started blogging I never dreamed I would have that many people popping in to my blog, I know you don't all have the time to comment and I totally appreciate that  - neither do I - especially when I follow too many blogs to mention. It just makes this all worth while. The only down side I can think of is that I haven't got enough money to buy all the things on my wishlist!!!!!
Talking of wishlists - I bought something after watching a pick of the week on Create and Craft ( you would think I would know better!!) the Digital Scrapbook Artist version 2 to be precise. I received it on Friday and have been having a play and this was my first page. My two little dragonlettes playing at their Aunties house a few weeks ago.
You can also join a forum called Daisytrail. I registered, and was so upset that someone was already there calling themselves Dragonlady.... but never mind I am Craftydragons there!!!!

But I digress, I must enter my new creation into a few challenges and here they are!

Creative Craft Challenges, Cute Card Thursday, Delightful Sketches and Polka Doodles all have a Summer theme,

Create 4 Fun and The Creative Cottage both want Anything but a card,

Flutterby Wednesdays - open theme but with butterfly, angel or fairy,

Meljens Design Challenge - Circles galore,

Alphabet Challenge Blog - K is for Kids and,

Totally Gorjuss - Water, water.

So there you have it. I will be posting about the winner of my candy tomorrow so you still have a little time to enter.

Hugs

We got 50 entries, the most so far and the choice was very difficult so well done to the winners.

I have used a beautiful image called Kei with Leaf from a great designer - Spesch Stamps who is our sponsor for this challenge - and the lucky winner can choose 3 digis or one stamp of their choice. I think they are great and just that little bit different.

Totally Tilda #1 Chocolate!!! + a few others!!!!

Fristly, I would like to wish a Happy 4th of July to all my American friends out in Blogland.

Here is my choclatey Tilda for the very first challenge over at Totally Tilda  and of course I had to make it extra special.....

....as you can see it is a Criss Cross card which is the challenge over at Just Magnolia which is where you will find a brilliant tutorial........and then here is the...........

.......................Surprise!!!!!
and next the closeup........

I really enjoyed making this card although I didn't really have very many chocolate coloured papers. The ones I have used are from Funky Fairies (who are no more) and Summer Driggs. My Tilda has been coloured using watercolour crayons and there is some glitter on her wings and the frosting of her chocolate cup cake!!! I have used my nesties - ovals and big scalloped ovals to mount her and surrounded this with lace I bought in a local store. I have used a couple of "Cheeky flat clips" from Making Memories to attach the ribbon on the pull out piece. The roses have got crystal stickles all over them too!!!!
On the pullout piece I have matted and layered two DPs and then some printed paper which I scrunched up and then covered with distress inks and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Creme de Cacoa. It was an experiment but it worked OK I think.

So now are the few other challenges I would like to enter this card in......

Magnolia Down Under - Use newspaper (mine isn't actually newspaper but it is text - is this acceptable???)

One Stitch at a Time - Lace, Ribbon and or bows - well I managed two of the three!!,

Pile It On - Favourite things - Tilda and glitter,

One Stop Craft Challenge - Distressing,

Crazy 4 Challenges - use 2 or more ribbons,

If The Shoe Fits... - Spread your wings,

Speedy the Cats Challenge - Die Cuts,

Making It With Meslyn - Piece of Cake,

Craftilicious Challenges - Cute,

Charisma Challenges - Metal Mickey,

Crafty Creations Challenge - Ice Cream and cakes, and,

Quirky Crafts - Ribbons.

Oh and by the way don't forget to play in my Blogaversary Candy - it finishes on 11th July.

Hugs
