Another First

Good morning everyone and hope you are all well. Yes, that's right I have tried making a tri shutter card you can find the instructions here. I decided to do one because I saw the challenge at Stampin' B Designs for a tri shutter card and I thought I would give it a go. I don't know about anyone else but I found it rather fiddly and altogether too much measuring for me - took too long for me - well I am an impatient B.....!!!! Firstly the flat version -

Then the open version which I suppose is quite impressive but I'm not sure I will do another one.

I used some papers, Snowman and Trees are from Papermania and here is a close up the little scene.

All nicely glittered as are the snowflakes I used from a Summer Driggs kit called Winter Gifts. They also have beads in the middle - the large snowflake has a pearl bead and the small snowflakes have a silver bead in the middle.

The label is also from a Summer Driggs kit called Happy Halloween - I have changed the colour using MyCraft Studio. I have also blinged it up with some beautiful green gems.

The label and the little sentiments were written using a free font called Frosty, which I think is really fab.

The poinsettia is from one of the MyCraft Studio CDs called Classic Christmas - sorry can't find it anywhere so it may have been a one off!

Now there are a few other challenges I am entering as follows:-

Allsorts Challenge - Purple (well the DP is a shadeof purple),

Tuesday Taggers - Oh Christmas Tree,

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Winter Sparkle,

Simon Says Challenge - Let It Snow,

My Time To Craft - Christmas foliage,

Pile It On - Tinsel Town,

One Stop Craft Challenge - Fancy Folds and

Cute Card Thursday - Sew Beady.

Yeh I 've finished!!! I look forward to your thoughts on this one.

Hugs

WOW! I think you did a fantastic job with this style of card! I haven't tried those yet, as you say - fiddly measuring and time consuming. Will have to be a special occasion for me to do one of them.
Thanks for sharing it at Tuesday Taggers!
Hugs,

Hey Ali,
Wow mate this is fantastic!!! love the colours you've used - well I would wouldn't I??!! What a lovely little scene with those glittery trees and the snowman. I guess if it's fiddly then these would be the sort of cards you'd make as specials!
Anyway, I love it.

Hi Ali,
This card is great. I love how much detail you can put on a tri-fold card. I must have a go at making one but first I must wait for my mojo to return.
Hugs, Clare x
