Black and White

Hello everyone in crafting land, hope you are all happy and well. So here is my entry to the Magnolia Down Under Challenge where they wanted you to colour your image with black, grey and white and then have coloured papers for a vintage look. It's funny because the first thing Alex my little Dragonlette said was "That looks old!" - so got something right then!!
I used the great sketch at Friday Sketchers shown below.

I have used some papers from one of my favourites - Summer Driggs - called Happiness and Truth. They also make up the punched flowers too. The plain blue card was from a recent shopping trip to Clarkes Village in Somerset - there is a Papermill shop there so I stocked up on - paper, well card mostly!!

I have also glittered the flowers and secured them with a pearl brad. The edges have been inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye the link is to Joanna Sheens shop - no P&P worldwide how good is that!!! In fact I used this distress ink around most of the edges of my paper and card which has also been distressed too.

For the image I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Black Soot along with my koi waterbrush. I have added some black glitter to her present and clear glitter on the lace and the ribbon in her hair. I have used my Spellbinders Classic Scallop Rectangles large for the image and around the other pieces.

Now for the other challenges I would like to enter:-

Roses On Paper - layers,

My Time To Craft - Pretty Pearls,

Paperplay Challenges - Shiny Happy People (use a person image which must have gloss, shimmer or sparkle on it),

Just Magnolia - Punch It Out,

Allsorts Challenge Blog - Petals and Pearls,

One Stitch at a Time - Torn, Distressed or Shabby,

Crafty Angels - My favourite things which are my Magnolia Stamps and glitter to name two, and

Sophisticat Challenge - Distressing.

Please scroll down for my earlier post today about the new Challenge blog -Aud Sentiments - first challenge Thursday 29th April and I made the DT.

Hugs
