Check this out!!!

Good evening everyone and you will be pleased to know that normal service has been resumed - tons of challenges for this one!! I have had this image coloured for a while now so I am so glad to be using it.

You may have guessed it by now that this is a Penny Black image so I shall be entering the challenge at Penny Black Saturday where they would like you to use check papers, ribbon etc. Well, I found these fab gingham papers at Elemental Pixie, she has loads more so have a peak. I'm afraid I went overboard  and made the flowers with the papers too - all punched flowers with the large one being a punched scalloped circle, I snipped the edges - feathering I think you call it? I then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick (note to self get some more of these!!).

 

The buttons in the middle are from a Papermania set called Capsule Collection - Red hot. I tried to shape the flowers and put foam pads in between for height. The image and gingham papers are mounted on blue glitter card.

I eventually found a sketch that suited this image at Posh Designs and it is shown below.
