Aud Sentiments Challenge #83 Summer

Hi everyone, it's time for some more inspiration for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments.  Before I talk about the challenge I would like to say a sad farewell to our outgoing DT members
and wish them well in blogland. Thank you for all your wonderful creations girls we will miss you.

This of course means that we will be welcoming some new ladies to our team next week. I hope you will make them feel at home.

Now onto the current challenge which is

....to use a Summer related sentiment.... Fun in the Sun, Picnic Time, Surfs Up  Use your imagination and have fun!

Our sponsor this fortnight is Stamp and Create

Here is my inspiration for you

I was having a play colouring on kraft card and was really happy with how this turned out. The image is from Lili of the Valley and is called Little Mermaid 2. The cross hatch blue stuff on the background is a rub on - don't use them very often I must say. The sun is a die cut piece but you can't have summer without it!! The wave paper is from a Summer Driggs kit called She Sells Sea Shells, and I finished it off with a bit of faux stitching around the die cuts using a white gel pen.

Here is a closeup....

The words are sort of inspired by art journals etc - an area I am finding really interesting at the moment.

Digitally "Sweet" Challenge #40 Pinterest Inspiration and New Rules........please read

Photobucket

Hi everyone, and welcome to the next challenge at Digitally "Sweet" Challenges. Firstly, I must thank those of you who played in our last challenge.

Our challenge this week is to take inspiration from this image from Pinterest............

I have tried to incorporate the colours and the jars.............

I have used Craft Artist Professional V2 and the Vintaj kit Autumn Crush. The jars are from a Polka Doodles kit called Picknix Collection 1 the Welcome Home part.

Now before I go any further you need to know that our entry rules have changed...

Hi everyone!! We have been doing some soul searching here at DSC and we've decided to open our challenge up a little more to the addition of digital images. Denise and I started this challenge in hopes of keeping it 100% digital, but we've come to the realization that some of you just aren't ready for that yet, but are interested in learning more about it. So, with that being said, we are excited to announce that we are going to change things up a little! You can now enter our challenge with a digital image on a traditional layout, card or project! BUT, there is a little extra reward for those doing 100% digital:
  • ALL entries now qualify for TOP 3 and giveaways
  • 100% digital will get TWO entries in the giveaways
So we're still encouraging you to be as digital as possible, but we want to recognize all of you who enter our challenge. For some of you that are just starting to play with digital images, we want to recognize you to! We'll be looking for tutorials that we can post for you to learn a little more about the digital world and maybe, in time, you'll jump in with both feet and give it a try! We're always here to help!!!!!!!

So please help our challenge site to grow.

I would like to enter the following challenges:-

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes,

Pause, Dream, Enjoy - Layout or Calendar page,

Paper Playtime - Anything Goes,

Picture and Scrap - Flowers,

ABC Challenge - O is for Open,

Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes, and,

Craft Room Challenge - Here Comes the Summer.

Have fun everyone.

Digitally "Sweet" Challenge #39 Make it Masculine.

Photobucket

Hi everyone, and welcome to the next challenge at Digitally "Sweet" Challenges. Firstly, I must thank those of you who played in our last challenge.

OK, I know I'm late but I have had an emotional day because Alex, my number one dragonlette, has gone away for the weekend - her school trip. She hasn't gone too far away but it will be her first time away from home. I just hope she has a great time, and at least the weather is OK at the moment.

Now to business. Our challenge this week is to

MAKE IT MASCULINE.

We are being sponsored by Digi Darla

and here is my layout using XYZ Plane.....

I coloured the image in using water colour craypons and then scanned the image to incorporate it in my layout using Craft Artist Professional V2.

Unfortunately, my youngest daughter, Emily, never met her Grandfather but it was fun showing her the type of planes he used to fly. The girls even had the chance to sit in one of them.

I love how these places are so interactive, definately makes it more interesting for the children.

Anyway, I would like to enter my layout in the following challenges:-

Digi Darlas Challenge - Make it masculine,

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes,

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Masculine/Fathers Day, and,

Craft Challenge - Anything But A Card.

Hugs and have fun
