"Please Mr Postman"

Hi crafters everywhere hope you are all OK - wet and windy in Devon today. So having spent more money!!!! buying the new Forever Friends CDRom I had to have a play. I made a pink Christmas card for the challenge at Bah! Humbug! and, guess what I missed it but never mind because their next challenge is Snowflakes - phew!!!

I used the sketch by Jane at Just Cute Bears which is below............................

The only things I used that were not on the Cd are the chip board glittery circles at the top of the card

and the glitter on the snow oh and the distress ink around the distressed edges - everywhere!
I have only managed another couple of challenges with this card - Christmas Card Challenge where they would like a lot of pink and Everybody Art Challenge where they asked for a song title - mine is "Please Mr Postman".

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I Love Digi DT Card - Gorjuss Girl

Hey everyone and it's time for a new challenge over at I Love Digi, thank you to everyone who joined in with our sketch challenge over the last fortnight.

Our challenge this fortnight is sponsored by Toucan Scraps

They were kind enough to let the team use one of their kits called Thank You - is that enough of a hint? Yes, we would like you to make a Thank You card remembering that the papers and or image should be digital.

Here is my card......................................

Isn't she gorjuss - thanks to Melly at Mels Craft Room - because she was my choice when I won her candy - Thanks hun I love her.

I have used a new technique with this card - Paper Piecing - and I love how it has worked with her dress. I glittered her wings and used a Promarker for her hair and added a gem.

The flowers were punched out and inked with Tim Holtz distress ink -, Tea Dye. The papers were distressed and inked too. Do you like the little buttons in my flowers? - they are from Papermania. The lace was form Quixotic Paperie along with a few other things!!!!

I have used the great sketch at Sweet Shop Sketches shown below.

New Challenge Blog First DT card.

Yipeeee it's Thursday and time for a brand new Challenge blog - Aud Sentiments - we will have a new challenge every other Thursday and would love it if you could join us.
The first challenge is to use the sentiment - "Happy Mother's Day" - anything else you use is entirely up to you.

I am really pleased to say that our sponsor for our first challenge is Merrigan from Bee Crafty and she has kindly let us use her images for our cards.

The lucky winner will receive three images of their choice.
So here is my card................

I have used an image called Little Lady Kitty Cuddles who I thought was perfect for a Mother's day card. I coloured her with Promarkers, and mounted her on to some pale green glitter card.

The flowers are from Papermania as is the bow, and have a jewel brad in the centre. The papers are from papermania too and I made the sentiment myself using a free font called The King and Queen font. I have used the great sketch from Friday Sketchers which is shown below.

As you can see I have added some extras as I felt it looked a bit bare in places. I would love it if you could visit my team mates to check out their creations. Just click on their name.

Bee Tilda!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you have had a good day. I finished work this afternoon and realised I had very little time left if I wanted to enter the challenge at Just Magnolia where they are having a birthday blog hop and a sketch challenge. The sketch was drawn by Mina - thanks it's great.

There was an option of making it a thank you card but unfortunately time is against me today - sorry.

I have used Whitewash Core'dinations in a yellow colour for the background card and Black Magic Core'dinations in yellw for the frame. I have sanded them both and distressed the background sheet.
The other paper is from a Papermania Capsule Collection called Sunshine.

I have coloured Tilda with Promarkers and used black and silver glitter. I have masked Tilda to get her sitting on the jam/honey jar. The three flowers are punched from Core'dinations card and some left over dotty paper, edged with TimHoltz distress ink - Tea Dye. They are held together with brads I received some time ago. I have had the ribbon in my stash for ages to.

I shall be entering this card in just a few challenges today

Magnolia Down Under - Masking,

Simon Says - Things with wings,

Passion for Promarkers - In teh Garden (I hope this counts as you get bees in your garden but if not I will understand),

Alphabet Challenge - Y is for Yellow,

Fab 'n' Funky - Get your old stash out, and

Caardvarks - Use Core'dinations cardstock to make a monochrome card.

Hope you like my hasty creation.

Fairy Doodle

Good afternoon everyone on yet another sunny April day in Devon. I have had this little Fairy Doodle stamp, part of a set, for ages and have finally inked it up. I coloured her with Promarkers and used glitter glue for the butterfly and fairy wings.

She is surrounded by flowers using a recent purchase from Quixotic Paperie (flower centres) and buttons with yellow fibres. The scalloped circles are from my Spellbinders Classic scalloped circles large. I have inked around the edges of the white circles with Tattered Rose distress ink. The papers are from Summer Driggs she is so good.

This is the sketch I have used which is from Sketch Saturday. Finally the sentiment was from a freebie stamp set on the front of a craft magazine. If I want a circle sentment this is the one I always use - must teach myself how to do this in Word - oh for more time!!!! I am not sure about this card - I think I have gone a bit overboard and that it is a bit too busy.

I am entering this card in a few other challenges:-

Create 4 Fun - Use circles,

Our Creative Corner - Butterflies,

One Stop Craft Challenge - Things with Wings,

Alphabet Challenge - Y is for Yellow,

Bizzy Beca Creatilicious Challenge - Wings and flowers,

Flutterby Wednesdays - Butterfly, angel or fairy,

The Creative Cottage Challenge - Wings,

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - Neglected Stamp,

Everybody Art Challenge - Patchwork,

Crafts and Me Chalelnge - Brown, Pink and Yellow.

Cute Card Thursday - Touchy Feely (texture),

Stamp Something - layers.

"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

Hi everyone and hope you are all well. Hope you are not effected by the Volcanic ash cloud which has brought air travel to a standstill in the UK and most of Europe.

My card today is made from my latest purchse from Polka Doodles - Paper Boutique CD Rom. OK so he is not Roger Rabbit but he is a white rabbit and a bit cartoony?!!! So a lot of cutting out and layering up and Bobs your uncle -- Bob Hoskins of course who was in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?".

Here is a side view showing the layers and the background (from the Back To Nature CD Rom) in the sunshine.

Now for the closeups of the front and the back.

I have covered our Bunny friend with crystal glitter and used acetate between the front and back to mount on the card. I hope you like it.

So now for the challenges I am entering:-

Polka Doodles Challenge - Animal Magic,

Raise the Bar - Movies,

ABC Challenge - S is for Sparkle,

Simon Says - At the Movies,

Penny's Challenge - Anything Goes,

Papertake Weekly - Cutie Pie, and

Meljens Designs and The Little Paper Shop Challenge both want 3D projects.

Please let me know you have been by leaving a comment. They are greatly appreciated.

Daisy

Good evening everyone, hope you have had a good day. Took my daughter shopping today - she spent more than me on craft items!!!! Then she spent the afternoon making cards - one of which she has posted tonight - The Dragonlettes  - please check it out and leave her some love.
My card for today is for the challenge at The Sugar Bowl where you have to use a Sugar Nellie stamp, and the sketch shown here.

I have had this stamp for rather a long time - Daisy - but never been happy with the way I have coloured her.

Anyway, Dawny P at the Pink Piggy recommended this Ultra smooth card which is great and you can get it at Craftwork Cards. The image stamped perfectly and the Promarkers literally glide over the paper. So Daisy is finally having an outing.

I have used papers from My Minds Eye called Bloom & Grow, duly distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Peeled Pain distress ink. I have used the Spellbinders Labels 2 for the image and the mount. I have used ribbon and lace underneath and finished the card off with some glittered roses as the challenge also requires flowers.

Have a great evening everyone

Hugs
