Die Cut Dreams Challenge # 83 It's a Girl (baby)

Good morning everyone hope you had a relaxing weekend. Thank you to everyone who joined in with our last challenge and boy was it hard to choose our favourites. Please check out the Die Cut Dreams Challenge blog to see who won.

Our challenge this fortnight is "It's a Girl (baby)".

Here is my card...........

I wanted to do something a bit different so I chose to make a double easel card - I saw the technique on Create and Craft and thought I would have a go.

I used a 21cm square card folded in half. Then cut down the front side at 10.5 cm towards the fold. You then need to score a diagonal line from the centre fold out to the edge of each 10.5 cm square. Fold over to make a triangle on each side.
You then need two 10.5 cm squares to go on the front of the triangles. You will need to be sure to check which way you attach the squares to be sure they are the right way up when the card is assembled. Decorate to your taste and place a raised piece in the middle of the bottom half of your card as the stand.

I hope that was not too confusing (I am writing this while watching the BAFTAS) I did try to draw a diagram but it was proving rather difficult so I appologise for not being very professional in my description. I found it very easy to do without any instructions so hopefully if you have done an ordinary easel card you will find it just as easy.

Here are a few more pictures.....

and another

I have used one of the fabulous stamps from the Crafters Companion SWALK range - Special Little Person. The image is coloured with watercolour crayons and the edge is glittered with pink glitter. The sentiment was from another Crafters Companion set - Popcorn - Bundle of Joy. I have used the Spellbinders Nestability Labels Nine, flowers from a candy win, pearls from my crafting buddy and team mate Dawn AKA Craftykitten. The bow is from the Papermania Capsule collection - Red hot. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder - Divine Swirls on centura pearl card. The paper on the base of the card was from Craftwork Cards.

Please check out my team mates for some more inspiration - their links are in my left sidebar.

Finally just a couple of challenges:-

Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes,

Do You Stack Up - Ribbon,

Paper Sundaes - Pick your topping - I chose pink and flowers, and,

Crafty Creations - Three little words.

Let me know you came by I do like to receive your comments.

Hugs
